  1. Putting aside all the passive , non football , hold on to what we have nonsense . Back to the game . I did't think we got much of the run of the ball , the Ref was , well odd too. But their goal , at first I thought Vyner played the lad onside . Not a great angle , but it does look suss from this clip . Would definitely be "interfering" , and it does look off . Doesn't excuse the set up or performance though.
  2. Man U 1-0 I suppose this isn't a bad game, but as it's 2 teams I really hate I struggle to enjoy it. I even put a £1 on to make it more interesting , not working so far.
  3. Waiting for ManYoo , Lil'pool so started watching Leeds Vs Millwall , bit boring after Chelsea V Leicester . Niggly game but not kicked off properly yet .
  4. They need someone to calm it and level it out after Pearcy
  5. Looks like Chelsea will get away with missing chances, 3-2 against 10 man Leicester . 6 minutes of added time left. Got to mention Palmer , hell of a player
  6. I thought you meant the Playoffs then
  7. I just went out into the garden to look for the ball
  8. VAR taking an age . Pen & booking from Ref VAR changes yellow to Red and Pen to Freekick . Right IMO
  9. Just remember , Process , they're learning together , the plan is right , we played for 90% , just that 10% , they are a top side that we want to be like. Etc Etc . And can you get a bigger box ? Or is Dave the only one allowed
  10. 2-1 brilliant shot catches the keeper off his line, what makes it funny is it was the right back
  11. 2-0 Sterling misses Pen and 1 V1 but Palmer gets the 2nd.
  12. You didn't need that bit . I remember that giving the players time off was used as a stick to beat Pearson with. They wouldn't dare let Manning give them more than a day or two off. Manning has had about 10 weeks with no midweek games (or 4 free day) and so , since he's been here 4 months , I don't think that argument of no time on the grass stands up any more .
  13. First up, who the hell allowed all blue Vs all black ? The only proper contrast is the socks FFS . Anyway , 1-0 Chelsea. Hope Leicester can come back . Johnathon Pearce I love you. Co Coms " Leicester don't play for 12 days until they play Bristol City " JP "tough task"
  14. Since it was pointed out we look good against good sides, then lost an entertaining game at Ipswich, Manning has found pragmatism, and we are now as dull as dishwater. I think he will try and stay in games , which means a borefest . It also means we will probably only try and win when behind . I predict boredom interspersed by anger when we concede and shock when we score. Honestly can't see a win other than a scrappy 1-0 . From really getting the taste for away games back earlier in the season , not only has that been knocked out of me, if it wasn't for habit and the social side I'd think twice about home games. It's been a hard few years watching City, but I thought we were past that , and then we get this.
  15. Manning goes , the team that chose him choose the next bloke, and with their ideas of continuity it will be Warnock's ling ball. Tinnion goes and we are stuck with a bloke whos plan B is strangle the life out of games and bore (us and ) teams to death.
  16. That's an odd statement . I don't know the guy, and if you do then I hold my hands up. But how do you know they're not his true thoughts ? I don't agree with what he says , I may not like the booing when it's early , but I thought the singing "We're F'kin shit " was amusing and apt , seeing what has happened and where we are. Spend time on here and you can see opinions vary massively . He is allowed to think what he wants, even if it's wrong . Now if he's not just a happy clapper and he's saying things just to get onside with the Club that's pathetic . But if he genuinely thinks what he has said in that piece that's his prerogative .
  17. Have you ever seen them in the same room together ? Me either
  18. It's rare that he does , without prompting .
  19. Spot on. I thought it was a crap idea when it was first mentioned as an option , but it's becoming more sensible by the game. It could well add some good feeling to the place, I imagine he would be popular with the players and at worst it would give time to find a full time replacement for the start of the break. I heard that from someone while they played at the club .
  20. ATM I'd say Manning getting until the summer to sort it out , then get given our entire budget to piss away.
  21. One hope, Steve's ego . He has always been seen , from the outside , as a great owner. Over the years where ever we were, or what was going on you could hear people praising his running of the Club. Now I'm not talking performance as such, but building the Stadium, bankrolling the Team etc , he was widely seen as a good owner. Now , it's clear he has placed his Son in a position way above his skill set. He has seen a well respected and popular Manager sacked and his replacement going backwards . He has seen his "football" man have to come off Twitter , then go back on and appear on Radio to defend mistakes the Club seems to have made. We have paid money for loans where the players have either barely appeared or aren't good enough. We made 5 signings in Jan and have had about 120 minutes from them in 14 games . We have seen a shambles of a kit launch , and then there was the badge . We have seen the previous regime criticised for "deconditioning " the squad , but then fitness seeming to drop off and injuries become worse again . It all adds up to an absolute amateur hour shitshow . Every previous poor show was a manager not performing, a team not performing or a mix of the two. This is different , it is a self inflicted and unnecessary wound that doesn't look good . Hopefully he sees it as a stain on his name and does something about it . I may be clutching at straws , but we live in hope.
  22. I think you're right, but if Lansdown senior is around more he does have the balls. I hope he's watching, I hope he's noticing the fans feeling , I hope he heard the chants today . If he does realise the feeling , and with Season tickets just on sale , he may act. Be nice if he looks hard at Jon and Tins too in respect of how suited they are to the jobs.
  23. He has been almost a 2nd striker for some time under Manning , I think he's wasted there. I'd say a little further forward than MF , that 4-4-2 he was alongside TC. I thought we looked better with Knight dropping in, later in the game. Of course it was easier as they were sitting on what they had , but I said the same after Cardiff away. I'd be happy so see more of a 4-3-2-1 / 4-3-3 with TGH , Williams , Knight , James and King fighting for the 3 CMF spots.
