  4. If they weren't so odious and detestable they'd be laughable . Hang on strike that , they are laughable, and odious and detestable . I've forgotten the point I was trying to make now....... the gift

  10. Best decision I've made in ages. As I'm home permanently for the foreseeable , I was very tempted. After the last few days, I thought better of it. A mate posted a picture from the ground and he looked damp. I was surprised that Glos still show live feed to the games as we are allowed back in. Weather forecast looks unlikely another ball will be bowled. While I was surprised that anyone would take on a risky single in the second over of a 4 day game, great run out all the same.
  11. I know, I read a post from their forum, everyone loves them ?
  12. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds. Remember how they were banging on about us being owned by an offshore company? Didn't get any quieter when it was pointed out that they are. They've touted themselves around to any ground willing to house them, bit like a franchise , doesn't stop them. It's no helped by the Post reading their forum and taking it as Gospel. Billionaire ? £15k watch ? They were as excitable as any bedwetter from gAsschat .
  13. That is probably the most pathetic thing I've seen. Guy does a podcast with an ex player and is threatened with a ban for mentioning it FFS. They are a sad , worried, inbred group of deluded losers ?

  15. Ahh, what people are missing is that bit that says "If we are talking about things being equal". I think he is talking about a parallel universe where They hadn't gone down into non League, sorry Div 5, and all of those other "smaller" teams haven't won Leagues and cups over hundreds of years. Then , on those level terms they are bigger. That must have been some session. He has conjured a comparison that ignores all football history to reach a theory that has them being a huge club ?
  16. Made the bench fairly often, must have been in Johnsons plans to some extent, plus I'm not sure U23's is a good judging point for a few reasons .Not too sure the players that have turned out this year while getting fit would have looked like World beaters.
  17. IMO he was never going to get a decent chance. We had Johnson doing his impression of a 5 year old at Christmas, always more interested in the next present . Szmodics had by all reports, had a good pre season. Then LJ gets his new toy in Palmer, who we paid more for and got a run. Not sure what he was supposed to do without getting a game or two. played a total of 107 minutes over 3/4 games, 1 start. Just had a quick look, in and out of the squad, on the bench one week and not the next. I think that speaks more about Johnsons fickle team choices than anything that Szmodics did. Whether he was good enough then or now is questionable, it just grates a little that our recruitment would spot and sign a player, only to sign another that clearly played in the same sort of position and would play ahead of him, senseless , and yet very Lee Johnson.
  18. Another pointless Johnson signing. Buy him, give him a pre season then run after Palmer when Swansea showed interest. Felt sorry for him here. Footage of LJ at the time.
  19. Not sure what you were watching over the last couple of years, but this form has built up over LJ's spell in charge . He gathered more and more players of a similar standard, we got worse and worse at home, and only got away with it because of our away form. That wasn't likely to hold up over time. We don't retain possession at all, which means we can't dominate or control games, or even see them out. 2018 - 2019 we were 18th in the home form table, saved by a promotion standard away season. Not likely to keep that up. 2019 - 2020 positionally better, in reality a point worse off, again very good away glosses over a mid-table finish. 2020 - 2021 a drop off both home and away. I've said a few times, I put most of the blame on LJ. He set this "style" of football in place. We have been awful to watch for years, we struggle to keep and pass the ball and he was in charge as we completely lost his (our) way , we end up where it is ingrained through the squad and is now a big job to shake them out of it. He should have been sacked 18 months earlier, the problem was compounded with the Holden appointment. It was a big job even without COVID, we needed a big shake up and what we basically got was a continuation. We have a group with no leaders, soft and directionless. Have no doubt, this is a big, big rebuilding job. With Walsh (?), Williams, Bakinson, HNM, JD, Vyner , Palmer even Wells, we have players that can play and pass. We need Pearson (hopefully) to shake the squad up and change what we have become. LJ is central to where we are now, sound like he's doing a similar job at Sunderland reading some of these posts.
  20. Looks like the last League game with over 12k was 1985. They had 12,957 , which is impressive as they averaged 5,258. http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/brir.htm
  21. I'm guessing that means a real embargo that will go into the window then.
