Always plenty of ammo?
Yeah I suppose with our 27,000 all seater stadium, wealthy Bristolian owner, well over double their home crowds, better average away crowds every season, 3 times the number of STs, better history, over a century of League Football, the lack of tents for stands, beating Man Utd in a match televised across the Globe, giving Man City a run for their money, all the praise we’ve received in the Media, never dropped into Non League, 17 years above them...
We really are the gift that keeps on giving aren’t we?
Sag idiots.
Exactly

Quote from gAsschat:I always slag them off doesn’t matter if their on a good run or a bad one there’s always plenty of ammo.
If they get promotion to the Prem I’ll do the same. This is all kinds of pathetic, sums them up really. If we did reach the Prem they would have just lost at home to Hartlepool or someone, but they’d be celebration us losing to ManU. Odd bunch.

1) Blackburn and Wigan coming up .... tough opponents for City in the Championship next season especially with some pretty decent teams coming down with their parachutes! 2) Unlike the rest of you, I went to the Mem today. Brilliant atmosphere ... old fashioned terrace .. 3) unlike the now sanitised Ashton Gate as my son said. 4) And those who talk about the 45,000 whatever. 5) Remember the ground up in Whorefield is always 95% full.
OK , I'll bite.
1) The Championship is always hard, they were both there before and struggled but still got some decent results. Both teams have won things , it's not like when(no disrespect) smaller clubs Burton to Rotherham came up and were seen by some clubs as cannon fodder , both of which then did well to stay up and upset some of the 'big boys', Burton still doing that.
2) Usually easier to get an atmosphere in a small ground that's close to the pitch, but depends where you go , there have been away fans not so impressed.
3) All seater stadiums have been around for about 25 years, I think it was a requirement in the top 2 divisions from about 1994, lower divisions were exempt. So what exactly is sanitised? The clean comfortable stadium? the roomy well appointed concourses ? The fan park with food and drink available , bands or DJ's to enjoy , you even get away fans mixing in there. Or is that what you object too?
4) 45,000 , that one needs explanation, the total attendance at your non league playoff final that your lot manage to change into being how many you took?
5) You get around 9k , that's 75% . I know your lot like to juggle figures but that ones hard to deny.- 4

@JackofromSanJavier I do believe you have just outed yourself as a "pox ridden merchant seaman" oh , wait , you can't catch anything from a reply, right?

I thought they did have owners willing and capable to invest? That's what they were all bragging about around this time 2 years ago.
Its laughable to suggest they have a bigger fan base than Swansea and Huddersfield. MK Dons are getting bigger crowds than the Sags. If they were genuinely loyal they'd fill their tiny ground every home match instead of barely scraping 8k home fans in L1.
....and they call us deluded?
Thanks, saved me some typing

I think football comes easy to him and he doesnt have to try as hard as other players to be effective, that must wind up some players who have to push themselves to the absolute limit becuase they might not have the raw talent, I love Mags, you want to throttle him and then hug him I think he could be a star if he wants it.
It really looks to me like he lacks confidence, I said before, when he started getting a run he was constantly looking for someone to to tell him when to go, where to stand. As he's got more games at full back he's gradually grown into it and started forming a good partnership with JB. It looked similar tonight, he looked a little unsure at times, but the one where he pokes the ball to a Derby player in the box , if he doesn't play it Russell has it in the area . And he did get bullied by Jerome, but so did Flint at times.

Only been on 13 mins.
Bit tongue in cheek, but I thought his touch and awareness was good, seeing as he's been out for 3 months.

McLaren calls us 'a nice little team'. What planet does he come from?
In the grand scheme of things we are. He was complimentary about us and compared with the money spent by others and the time other teams have been around the top of the Championship it's a fair remark.

Flints face when he looks up to see if Ref has given the penalty
He knew it was going to be given .
That said, I thought there was a foul on Flint by Jerome in the build up. And if he really wants to he can stay on his feet, he would have got a shot in. Instead both legs fly up in the air and his arms wave around. I would have been pleased if that same decision had gone for anyone, not just up, Exageration is an understatement .
Right I'll go and calm down by looking in the fridge for another beer. -
I'll take that.
Passing poor, didn't create much but still had a couple of good chances.
Derby forced 3 saves , 2 very good. But that Pen. Should have been a foul on Flint before it got that far -

Yep Frankie is "struggling" after a challenge. To be assessed at half time, but no longer doing the set kicks
Kicking in open play is ok so ....... ?????

Not a lot of point us hitting crosses in the air , until recently we've worked the ball into the box well. Just not quite there , but signs we're getting going.

Didn't the Head at UWE say that if the stadium didn't go ahead they had other things they could use the land for? I assume faculty buildings or additional parking.
Yep, I think extending the Law department was mentioned too. I'm sure I read originally that they were thinking of a small multi purpose stadium, would be funny if they did it on their own.

As far as I'm aware they haven't commenced work on site so the consent is dead.
OTIB.
I'm guessing there little point in the UWE doing anything to prolong the planning , didn't they originally have plans for a small 6k venue?
I honestly don't know how the gAss would have carried on if
1) they didn't own the stadium.
2) They had to pay rent.
3) They would not have much in the way of off field profits coming in.
The UWE can now do as they wish , smaller athletics/ multi purpose stadium. While the gAss lower house prices in Horefield

A new Ground breaking shop in the near future. What is a 'ground breaking shop' when it's at home? Always in the future too.
New ticketing facilities to make it easier for distant gasheads. Does this mean , makes it harder to rip the club off??
We have a new training ground about to be built with excellent facilities to attract the right type of player to the club About to be built ? Again ?
A new purpose built stadium about to be announced Did I miss something? The Post would have had a 64 page pull out if it was that close surely
A great set of supporters.
All the bricks are now in place to build a championship club , Canvass , surely
