Two seasons of unparalleled success though. More to come, I think.

I'm alone on here these days. And I'm tired now. Goodnight Teds.

Your shitting me right ?? You are so bad you fall out of the League, to a level below the League , Non League if you will . Then instead of being a little embarrassed about it , claim bragging rights !! Unbelievable .

Oh and unparalleled ?  I think you'll find many teams have done the back to back promotion thing, and some in the big Leagues up to the Prem, Unless you mean in gAss terms, in which case you're probably right , unparalleled . But only because even your lot hadn't be that shit , to sink that low before

    Goodnight Squatter.

  2. Can you stop putting links to that brains trust on here @Dark Wood Covert , I ended up looking and I just get annoyed.

found this gem "Would expect nothing else from such a massive club, shame that 1982 ltd is being swallowed up by #bristolsport"

Can anyone remind me of the name of the off shore parent company , set up by their foreign owners  to look after their franchise until it move out of Bristol AGAIN ?

If moron was an Olympic sport they would all be gold medallists.

11 points clear and safe a few games before the end of the season, remind me how you lot finished that season?

We spent regardless because there were always going to be players leaving and we had freed up a huge chunk from the wage bill by getting rid of the wasters here before that.

Also, players who were a part of our title winning season were here the season before that- Frankie, Cunningham, Flint, Williams, Pack, JET, Osborne, Elliot (free transfer having been here on loan the season before) Wagstaff, Reid, Pack, Bryan and Burns.

Players we spent money on for that season: Agard (circa 700k), Smith- part exchange and circa 200k, Freeman 300-450k, Ayling was compensation only.

Other signings: Little (free), Elliott (free), Wilbraham (free).

So that's a maximum spend of 1.3m plus minimal compensation fee for Ayling. So we didn't spent "millions" before we sold Baldock, just the 1.

We had also, prior to the sale of Baldock, got rid of 5 or 6 players on big wages.

Don't waste your time using facts and logic on the f**kwit , it may have been 11 points but more importantly it was 8 teams. 8 teams that would have also got those extra points as that's how the League works.

Some umm guests on here actually contribute to threads, and then others ..........

  4. I have been so excited going to games this year, the last two performances have tempered that slightly , but today I am really looking forward to seeing the display.

I was explaining to the Mrs about Gerry Gow and how it has effected grown men, my theory is that is a part of your childhood / adolescence   disappearing .  GG was a massive part of the team I saw promoted and I had a little flashback to when I was younger. I have always said Garland was my first City hero, that Whitehead was the best winger I've seen. Then it came back to me , the Leeds team of the 70's stated wearing sock numbers, little banners that used as sock ties would hang down displaying the team number. For a short time you could get them in sports shops in Bristol, I of course got get ones and only one number would do 4 !

RIP Gerry , and @havanatopia's Dad . I hope the day goes really well and top it off with 3 points.

For the kids out there .....

I'll miss them when they up sticks like a 'franchise' club and move out of Bristol again.

See , now that has the ring of truth about it. A  very similar situation  between  gAss and LA Rams. Rams moved to St Louis , and apparently are moving back. Where as the gAss moved to Bath , moved back and are now leaving again. NOW THAT IS A FRANCHISE CLUB !!

  6. I actually thought Tomlin started to effect the game more than he has for a while, but the formation didn't work and gave them room in midfield. No one else came out with too much credit, Wilbs did OK when he came on, Mag's and Flint were OK but a lot of the rest went missing, too much rotation?? Tammy only looks good when we get possesion around the box and we never got them pressed back often enough

  7. We need to play 10 yards further forward and maybe push Pack or Oniel a little further up, if he doesn't make a change.

Joe hasn't looked too comfortable against wingers lately , Too big a gap between Tammy and everyone and I wish LF would stop doing step overs that are never going to fool anyone. We can improve , a lot ..... they can't  so I hope we buck up from the kick off this half.

Couldn't get a full team out ? Forgot to book the pitch ? Forgot to book a Ref ? I ran little teams for a while and we've all done it.
