I see Mr Bamber Gasgroin has suddenly quadrupled and more Steve Lansdown's investment in city then?

    '
Enjoy the 20 place gap, bought with £400 million of Lansdown's money, shame he didn't want to pay tax on it, he thought it was more important to fund a football club than pay back into the society that created his wealth. You must be so proud.

    What a cock!!

I have a mate, good bloke but of late he's been spouting the party line. I'm going to have to block him on social media !!

This sort of thing really does wined me up, I know it shouldn't but it's the hypocrisy and stupidity. He would have paid tens of millions in tax  building his fortune. He's spent millions in the local area etc etc.
That's one thing but do they not realise their club is owned by an offshore company FFS ??
They spout shite about spending millions on a stadium and in the next breath say we should have done the UWE and if not when do we upgrade the Mem . Hypocrites every moronic one of them.

This must be a new thing now. Pleading the little innocent club that no one notices them anymore (apart from when they're in the news for underpaying their staff and racially abusing their own and opposition players)

Here's another snippet of VictimGas, the new craze hitting BS7. DTIpdSqXcAQe-9w.jpg:large

That's a bare face lie , and libellous comment , one of the fires was an accident

  3. All joking aside (for a minute).
Can anyone remember where the '6th richest club in England " came from?
Someone must have said that to start the rumour, was it the BEP ? along with Billionaire and £15k watch. Or was it just some knob on a video spotting shite while someone filmed him . Be interesting to know, as it only took 5 minutes and Google to learn otherwise, bit much for the Post to be expected to check facts though.

  4. Best day in their history, doesn't involve their team (our playoff defeat)
Club legend never played for the club (Winass)
And the thing that made some gAssheads year was us losing a normal League game , and nothing his club did in the previous 364 days.

They are a pitiful , sad and deluded bunch.

  5. I would hope that a signing or two would be announced tomorrow. We have known about the injuries and fatigue for weeks , lets hope they have been working hard to add some bodies.
I have been waiting, pretty much expecting this defeat since the Forest game (maybe not the scale). I think the whole team has been amazing to keep the run going week on week, but we need new faces and soon. Once we reach the end of January we could have 6 more players to choose from (new and returning) that could really help a Playoff push. I don't think we can afford to wait though.

  6. Thanks for the link @SirColinOfMansfield but I can't stand more than a couple of minutes on there at any one time.  The Hypocrisy and delusion is unbelievable. An example....

"Better cancel their obsessed with Rovers thread now."

This on a thread that is at 20 pages in 10 days . All they have to laugh about is us losing to the best side in the Championship

Oh , and apparently our bubble will burst and away following will drop massively. They could be right with the 2nd bit, only 5,500 sold so far forMan City and members can't buy until tomorrow.

Used to beat us hands down at the Bristol Flower show in the sixties !

They did have nice flower beds, and a lot more dogs lived at their ground/kennel . Actually Saying their ground, the Greyhounds were actually the Landlords and the gAss rented/squatted/dossed there.

  8. Is anyone on their website? I'm sure I saw a Red posting on there some time ago. I would love this to be explained.

I Don't give a flying **** about your plastic team, we are the only real community football club in Bristol

How is our team plastic? Owned by a Bristolian where as .......
Same ground in Bristol for about 113 years , where as .......
and as far as I know , actually paying wages above minimum , where as .....

Just because they are run like a pub side , I think I'm right in saying they have rented or squatted for all but 20 years since the start of the 2nd world war, doesn't mean they are more 'community, club than us. They just seem to try and grab an insult and use it, whether it fits or not.

More utter barlox from the methane snorters!

    1954 3 3S 49 17.596 38 3
    1953 5 3S 53 18.764 40 1
    1952 15 3S 73 17.780 45 2
    1951 10 3S 63 18.457 43 5
    1950 15 3S 73 21.449 41 1
    1949 16 3S 75 16.523 49 3
    1948 7 3S 57 20.951 43 2
    1947 3 3S 49 18.848

Yep , interesting use of stats. Technically @Ska Junkie that is Div 3 South so to prove a point they'll ignore those. Also putting in their highest average is 13,026 is funny as , although it might be true, they haven't averaged 10,000+ for 40 years and only 4 times in the last 50 have they managed above 10k in L1 add 2nd tier and that goes up another 2. I think 15k ground will be plenty for them, all they need is a rich benefactor to fund it all.

If who I worked for was owed that money by them I would be naming the company - but to the press first and foremost and when it has been printed then put it on there. The amount, even though it is small, could be the difference between a small company staying afloat or going bust (I suppose that could work for Rovers as well though). My guess would be some cleaning company - they seem to like their cleaning.

I'm guessing the guy talking was a gAss head, so it's his team and he doesn't want to say to much. If roles were reversed I'd feel the same...... to a point.
Clubs still do this , any club going into admin would probably owe companies money. What is more unusual is a (fairly) new owner and Billionaire are seemingly steaming headlong into administration. He could sell his watch I guess.

The thing is you can't knock what City are doing at the moment but that doesn't stop me from wanting it to stop!

Currently we are light years apart and that doesn't look like changing any time soon, but things do change and in football it can happen quite quickly. A year ago Lansdown and Johnson in particular were getting some horrific stick and the prospect of us facing each other again in league competition looked odds on, a year on and it looks as far away as ever.

I'm 53 next week, and at the moment, I'd take just beating you once more in my lifetime.

Is this your wish to live into your (several) hundreds????

  12. Would be interesting to see the comparisons between us , since '82 and them since they joined the League the first time. When was that? 1920?

They've won....... (thanks Wiki) in 98 (broken) years in the league

Football League Third Division South: 1.....1952–53

Football League Third Division: 1 ...............1989–90

    Football League Two play-offs: 1 ................2007

Conference Premier play-offs: 1 ...................2015 this is still non league to me !

    Football League Trophy, Runners-up : 21989–90, 2006–07
That doesn't really count but we'll give them 2 2nd places.

    While since 1982....

Third Division South (Football League One) Champions:   ..........   2014–2015

                                                Runners-up: 1986–87, 1999–00

If I were them , I'd just give up.

My two faves are Gas away FA Cup 1983 and Bradford away League Cup 1989...

There have been a few threads on this. I loved going to Eastville, massive open end held  about 6k of us I believe. As for away days , Cov (obvs) , but Chester was one of the best ways to clinch promotion and one of my favs. Swansea 5-0 , Liverpool , Leicester (Jacki) , Forest semifinal , the 4-0 at Brum and on and on.

Yep, absolutely the most dispassionate hellhole of a stadium, lacks any sort of character.

This may be true, but the only time I've been there I was with 5,000 others, so the atmosphere was OK.
Plus , although we did stand the whole game , at my age I appreciate the availability of a comfy seat now and then #ooo, paddedseats, nice!
