  1. Ahhh the number of times I've done that
  2. To be fair, a voice of reason in the darkness ? Perhaps it really shows how we've been starved of success that even drawing at Northampton is seem as success, for Man C fans last night it was just another win?? And now I need a shower, I feel dirty after looking on there !
  3. Golf ?? Surfing ? Olympics? I'm struggling now .......
  4. I think it's pretty much accepted that the new owners are nowhere near as rich as the Post were making out ( he has a £15k watch don't you know.) They were seeking funding for the new ground, and while it makes sense as money would be available from the league and other sources , they seemed to be looking for the bulk of the costs from out side interests. I guess there may be a couple of ways to do this, the Glaziers way in which the club would be in debt, or partners which means they would only own a small stake in the Stadium Ground. They are, no doubt , very wealthy but their assets are tied up in the banks they own as a family and any free money to spend on the club (which they've already said they won't throw money at the club) may be negligible . I can't see that they would have been had over in the deal for the gAss as they do this for a business. It will be interesting to see how this story pans out.
  5. The Blonde in the glasses, ain't that the one off the tele ??
  6. The free kick hit the post and rebounded off of RO, harsh to put any blame on him.
  7. So some one else was willing to rip them off as well , I see you're pardoned in that case.
  8. I know you are ( for a Squatter ) a fairly sensible poster , but do you rally not get the difference in the two jobs the highlighted parts represent? One is supposed to entertain and encourage debate of listeners and the other is meant to be a professional representative of your club. Not a pissed up no mark on a jolly with his mates down the local , I dread to think of the out cry if Cott's would have done that. So you paid £2.3m for 50% and just £10k for the other 50% because your co-owners were in financial difficulties. Sounds like bloody daylight robbery to me, there isn't one person on this forum who wouldn't have ran to the mortgage lenders to take that deal !
  9. So official club announcer and some plum presenting a show on local radio the same ??? I remember your announcer getting in trouble before , tinpot ! I do agree with a lot of the rest though
  10. Serious answer. If it was at ours , I'd be there and I'd hate it. I admit it was a casual off hand comment , but I mean it. I hate(d) the derby games and surely with the little insights into their minds via the gASSchat forum, you can get a preview of what it would be like. My first Derby was the 4-1 win at Eastville, and I had to suffer all the crap that the following years brought. We had nothing to gain and everything to lose, I really grew to hate those games and I would be only too happy if they stayed one Div below us permanently !! Might be an old man thing
  11. That's why I said about contradicting myself. Burnley 1-2 and 4-0 Boro 1-0 and 1-0 Brighton 1-2 and 4-0 Hull 1-1 and 4-0 Sheff Wed 2-0 home game to come Derby 4-0 home game to come Not good reading, too many times we seem to have thrown the towel in after going a couple down. If we carry on beating teams near us , that should be enough for this year but some serious surgery needs to be done in the summer. Take away the loans and we need about 7 new signings if not more.
  12. Over all class should tell , on a game bases anyone can beat anyone. I don't hold with the fear thing, being brave means hold the ball and be confident and today we maybe stood off a little and showed too much respect but mostly I think it was just a bad day. Control, passing and movement were all off, and our midfield is (in comparison) lightweight. I may not have explained that well, sounds like I contradicted myself a little. We deserved to beat Boro at home, good defending for the away win . Hull at home I thought they looked a better side but that we deserved a point. The class tells over a period of games, what Rotherham has/have done is (probably) through commitment , organisation and passion. Warnock has always got the best from his sides even if they aren't the best sides. It is harder to keep that going over a longer period of time, but how many times have we seen teams raise their game against supposed stronger opposition in one off games ? As for the press conference , mostly just soundbites . I'm not sure he'd be saying the same to players, at least not in the same way. I do think that the break may have come at a bad time as our momentum and their supposed drought were negated. If we can beat the divisions form side Tuesday, it will be the preferred way of picking up 3 points from these games .
  13. Hang on , wait a minute ..... I thought they'd sold out. You sure a 1 hasn't fallen off the front of that number ??
  14. Not at all , on a good day with luck we go and maybe sneak a draw. What happened was nothing to do with fear or respect just class. I really think it was just a bad day at the office, fear does not come into it. I also think that was a sound bite, more for the press than players.
  15. Ahhh , you get that shit too then. My mate's in the USA , Disney in stead of the Rugby ground although both Mickey Mouse outfits , and he still takes time out to post about us !!!
  16. Funny enough , I would be more inclined to play Reid at home rather than away, and I wouldn't have played him against Hull's huge midfield. Shame we are limited in options. In theory. I think we may find they're all tough now.
  17. I'm trying to put a positive spin on it Seriously, the midfield we had out today may struggle. Korey will hopefully be fit , but with no game time recently it may be expecting too much. I thought JB did some really good things today, but they still managed to pass around us. Tuesday will be a different kettle of fish , but we will still be playing a team on a run and full of confidence, all be it nearer in ability to us than Hull are. We are a midfield option short, LJ missed a trick by no bringing in the extra player, one thing with KS, he doesn't seem to need too much time to get up to speed in games.
  18. Not only that, against Brighton and today we were chasing shadows. The control, movement and passing was far better than us. Both teams looked bigger and stronger.
  19. To start with a little perspective. While we have had a decent run WE are in a relegation fight after promotion. THEY are going for automatic promotion after being in the Prem last year. They were bigger, stronger and simply better than us. Today while JB and Pack did OK they were out gunned , Korey would have made a difference but not to the result. We were off the pace and Hull were good. At the end of the day if we can win Tuesday , it will be better than winning today and losing Tuesday. There were no obvious pluses today, all they can do is move on and get a result against Rotherham.
  20. Fair play caught it unseen by lino and ref , who also missed a judo throw a little earlier. Still poor defending.
