  1. Which ever way you look at it, Good point. Annoying to concede another 2 goals . Minus 8 GD in 9 games is poor and you don't have to have an FA badge to work out where the problems are. Great that Kodjia is scoring regularly, imagine what he could be like when he understands his team mates ! Now that's out of the way I really don't get SC acting like a petulant child with the bench, he's proving nothing and potentially making problems for himself/the team. Cutting his nose of to spite his face, as me dear old Mum used to say. I'm concerned, but not overly worried. We had a spell last year when we conceded 13 in 7, we tightened up and need to do the same soon. The team needs tweaking not wholesale changes . A win next week could start to put a different complexion on the season so far, mind you , lose and some peoples heads will explode on here.
  2. Can't be bothered to trawl through the thread, where is the City game? All I can find is the squatters and Yeovil
  3. Nice to hear this sort of thing, few popping up on Twitter. Jack Garratt ?@JackGarratt95 32m32 minutes ago Just a word on Bristol City. Thought they were quality & their fans were brilliant. Especially the reception they gave Albert. Will do well
  4. 64% possession to Leeds 36. 18 shots to 7 11 on target to 3 8 corners to 3 kinda says otherwise. Dominated the first half and should have been free and clear by half time. 2 mistakes (the 2nd one was either the ref or Hamer) for the first goal. The game onlychanged after the second goal, to be fair Leeds looked to have us sussed. Broke really quickly with numbers and looked dangerous. The attacking centre halves need to be reined in, there was 30 yards between them regularly, ton of space for Leeds to break into. When teams build against us they look ok, but on the break we look all at sea. The long diagonal ball was over used, massively . must have been told to do it but the full back had it covered easily. Kodjia looks promising, even allowing for the bad miss, needs to get used to the team and vice versa. He was looking for the ball behind the defence , that never came. Stupid statement warning..... If you ignore the results , I think we look pretty good. Certainly nothing to worry about. IF and that's a big if, Gray signs he could have a field day. EDIT: Just watched the goals and I can't see how SC says Hammer didn't touch the lad. He may not have done but not clear from the footage. So Hamer's mistake.
  5. I never read it, well, hardly ever. But it gives me a warm comforting glow of security knowing you and your thread are still here should I need it.
  6. Last year we had spells where e hit diagonal balls and we looked crap, we learnt but looks like we need to learn again.
  7. We had games where we played like this last year, difference is the standard is better...... much better. Sheff W could turn out to be a very good side this year and anyway , they're no mugs. Bryan's injury was a factor but, Fredericks looked good on the left, and Wes has done OK. I think a reality check was in order for some on here, it's a bloody hard League where we will need to be at or near our best. No need to slash wrists just yet.
  8. Got to start getting some possession and holding the ball up the field. Time for a bit of SC magic.
  9. This bloody feed is killing me ! Freeze, sprint to catchup, judder , sprint. Like watching the Keystone cops with added slow mo. And all the time the commentator carries on.
  10. Another challenge that could have been yellow, just not sticking up front.
  11. I thought JB was a broken leg, not a good challenge. If their bloke hadn't been injured I think it would have been yellow. Pretty even so far.
  12. I bought some daps from a drug dealer yesterday , I don't know what he laced them with but I was tripping all morning. Joke theft is not a real crime
  13. Been back about an hour, catching up on the hilarity . Just wanted to say it was nice after coming out of the ground being told by a few Chesterfield fans what a good team we are. I know it and you know it , but it never gets old being told over again.
  14. Very good performance, the better team and the least we deserved. I think we played within ourselves but limited them to one real chance. We could have scored on another 2 or 3 occasions, and overall looked a very good side. On Agard , not my favourite player but fits into the system where JET would not. Very close now.
  15. I thought before todays game I would be happy with 4 points over the Easter and the better way of getting those points would be by beating Swindon. That can still happen and things would settle down. Where my opinion hasn't changed ( and cue happy clappers ) we are light on numbers up front. Wilbs has done well and sounded good today, but Agard 1 in 11 ? JET is not an out and out striker so however badly the forwards play, they'll play the next game or we change formation. We may well beat Swindon and Preston and canter to the title, it doesn't make it any less true. I really think that SC could have made things easier with another loan, maybe he's tried and the perfect player wasn't there, in which case I would bring back Wes and give him a run when Agard is struggling. This time of the season you're not going to get level headed debate, passions and opinions run high and things are usually very black and white. We're great/shite in equal measures and that is for that reason this forum is here. ......carry on
  16. Thing is WE all do , ignoring us as my nerves make me look for pit falls. Swindon have us , Preston and Rochdale away, and MK and P'boro home Preston have trips to Bradford and colchester and home games against Rochdale us and Swindon. The other games are liiable to throw up some shocks, hopefully for them not us , I'll will enjoy ticking of the points as we rack them up (hopefully). Listening today 1-0 and comfortable, I hope they didn't settle into Wembley mode where it never looked in doubt. I don't think Cott's will allow this but I also think it's the only way we could stuff it up.
  17. Totally understand your point and yet I still say this last few months may have been easier if we had another loan in. Just to add options and take some of the strain , even the short spell we had Matt Smith and (a nearly fit ) Wilbs meant we could rotate. I know there is no magic wand , and that they wouldn't want to pay for someone to sit on the bench but I bet there aren't many teams with only 2 out and out strikers. I guess you are probably right about availability but as a fan I don't need to worry myself about details, my job is to shout and tell them where they are going wrong
  18. My point was we heve been light on numbers most of the season, but mention that and some people consider you a heretic. We have been lucky with injuries but having 2 strikers leaves you short of options whoever you are.
  19. When some people were saying we needed reinforcements earlier in the year, and were shot down for saying it. This is when we could have done with a plan B , an alternative to throw on in search of a goal. As it is we have to hope they can find a goal from nowhere.
