  1. There will be a lot of running needed from both FB's and we will need that option to switch one out for fresh legs. That it wont drop the standard is great for us, if McCrorie has a similar impact at RB we will be in good shape. I agree with those that said Pring deserves the shirt Saturday, I would expect to see Roberts come on at some stage , but PNE & Millwall are different prospects to Oxford and no need to rush him. Great competition to have.
  2. Nice finishes from Cornick and Knight. I hope it gets Cornick going as I'm really not sure about him so far. Nice for Knight to get going so soon, though sounds like he missed a good chance. Not sure if it's been mentioned, but goals are being shown on Sky Sports News as they go in.
  3. All that and it can be a stepping stone on a bigger stage. While he could have gone to a top Club and got lost, playing and doing well for Bournemouth will prove to the top clubs he can do it there. January signing for Spurs at £55M you heard it here first.
  4. I think he adds energy , press and ball winning and will get further up the park. If we agree there is one infront of the back four, we need a variation IMO and Knight would ( or will) give that. Saw a few glimpses Saturday and as he grows into the team I think he'll be a real asset .
  5. For me it's Naismith or James, then Williams or Knight , and Scott. Just for legs and mobility.
  6. I was going to say the same yesterday, but couldn't remember who the interview was with that mentioned that. I think it was Nige, but possibly CF , stated that they had built up hamstrings and so reduced the problem along with a graph I believe. Most of the recent injuries have been knocks or contact injuries haven't they ?
  7. Literally , men against boys then.

    Tommy Conway

Shit , that's bad news . I was looking forward to him getting a run tomorrow. Really hope the kid heals quickly .
  9. No, but only because I typed it slowly.
  10. I just found the bundle of soft Porn interesting, I didn't bid ? I'm actually reading a book about (and I'll type this slowly) Colditz by Ben Macintyre
  11. While Nige will want to rest some and give others a run, injuries will again hamper out choices. The only change we can make are Araoye , Conway , Roberts , Sykes and Mehmeti getting starts . King in for James to save him from 3 90s in a week.. It will be a fairly strong side, but I think Pearson will want to spread the work load.
  12. Yep thanks , in expired passes . Didn't seem to change over last night, but showing Brum now.
  13. Many of us ( I imagine) didn't see that. I assumed it would work that way but being a bit suspicious of new tech it still makes me nervous when things disappear you didn't expect too.
  14. Because its new tech and nobody told us what the **** to expect . You just get used to having a ticket on your phone, it disappears , I would be surprised if they were no questions . I'm waiting for this to start on my whats app group , probably as soon as the first ones notice it's gone.
  15. Mine still isn't showing, tried it a couple of times. I'll wait until we get nearer the game, won't panic just yet. Cheers though.
  16. I am struggling to find auto updates, where is this ? Took me long enough to find expired passes I did wonder if it would do it nearer the date
  17. Went out to Haveli the Yard last night and was really impressed. The service was good, really friendly staff and nice place. They didn't have the IPA, but instead of just saying "it's off" they explained they were having problems with new pumps, which I appreciated. I think it's a family business and they have managed to get a very nice atmosphere . The food was delicious . I had the Machli Pokara to start which was lovely , Sag Gosht , a little spicey for my Wife but I loved it. She had the Garlic Tandoori Prawn which we both enjoyed. I will definitely go back and highly recommend .
  18. I've only just had the chance to sit down and only skimmed this thread, so my take on yesterday. It felt like we trying to play catch up and Preston bossed that centre section of MF, we did create some good play wide. I thought Bell had a decent game, caused problems , but never seemed to link with Pring. Same on the other side , looked a bit disjointed and Tanner's delivery wasn't the best. Cornick does not convince me still, and I would have Sykes ahead of him every time ATM. Williams was good IMO. Knight showed some moment of real promise , but James was no more than steady. They never really got hold of MF and we struggled to get any pressure on them. Wells fed off scraps, worked hard but service was awful. Dickie looked ok, never saw him step out as much as I would have liked, but a lot of that was down to Preston who I did think looked good and always seemed to have a player spare. Stand out yesterday was Vyner , I though he looked a class act and hope he can continue that. Really can't complain about the result , they bossed large spells, on chance I guess it was fair. What I would complain about (again) is the Reffing team . The Lino in front of the Lansdown missed some shockers, and ref Ref allowed then to get away with a lot of the niggly stuff that they always seem to get away with. Was our shout a Pen ? I really couldn't see it at the time and the highlights aren't convincing. Their shout might have had more chance with VAR. Heard a lot of "picked the wrong team " yesterday , TBF not sure the changes would have made too much difference. Even Scott wouldn't have changed that much, though I think Mehmeti coming on for Weimann might have given us some ball carrying centrally . Personally I would start Sykes over Cornick , not sure what Cornick adds , I must be missing something . I only saw the clips from pre season, but Wells's movement stood out. We hardly managed to get him in the game yesterday, but Conway was even more lost. Roberts , Sykes , Mehmeti and Conway will start Vs Oxford, plus maybe King and Araoye . Probably a choice between not wanting to put to much strain on the side early on and wanting that first win, but most importantly getting some cohesion . It was the game we would expect , if it wasn't first game of a season we have some optimism for the first time in ages. How often have we seen it ? Preston is always gritty and home with a big expectant crowd is always a let down. Not sure why I thought it would be different
  19. While I agree about the cost, I had a steak and ale pie before kick off and it was lush mate. Best I've had for a while, last season I was disappointed with the pasties though. I have to say, and I know trying to stock food for 20,000 plus people is a nightmare, the hot display cabinets were hardly rammed with 15 minutes to K.O. Another problem would be restocking. If you had some not selling in one area it would be virtually impossible to move them to another with the concourse rammed at H.T. As others have said, and it is annoying, running out is preferable to having stock unsold.
  20. TBF I'd say bogey team, in as much as the game is always crap, usually tight for goals and often Reffed by weak officials that let them do what they do. Though I accept my bias may colour my thoughts.
  21. Good bit of insight for people, add the Club would have to consider any changes for replica kits and the amount of shirts needed would add to the problems. I think we all agree. They wouldn't have to ask for whole designs, more preferences or guidelines , like as you say colours. It's the easy reply though and sadly thats the way the internet has gone. For the most part you do get good debate on here, but there are still those posts every now and again. If it interests you it will probably interest others, and while I haven't liked some shirts you have done, I have shared photos of kits I have liked . So really how much difference is there in that. It's a forum of contrasting opinions , keep posting and starting debates . In other news , Kappa are doing some great stuff ATM
  22. If they find out they may ask you to return one. I'd keep it under your hat.
  23. Maybe because of the need for rushed kits, they called it the 3rd kit so they could have a proper launch for the away kit, with a proper design/trial/snagging/signoff/delivery period. It's not like we have never had a delay on the delivery of a shirt / kit before.
