  1. Can someone more ITK than me say if I have this right. Google says you usually have 21 days to object once plans are made public. They applied on the 29th of June , so 21 days takes it to around the 20th of July. The planning committee meet once a month, and met on 27th April . Would that mean around 27th of July for the next one ? They have their first home game on August 12th. Though Google has them home Vs Chesterfield in a friendly on the 29th July. If I have that right and if the plans are passed with no problems, it gives them just over a week to build, test and get the new stand passed. If I'm anywhere near right, that is a very tight schedule for a permanent building and fitting out.
  2. Seeing as I haven't enjoyed the program that much since Colin Murray left , I doubt it will be much worse. The last incarnation wasn't great, presenter passable but the "experts" were just annoying. It seemed like Ashton and the rest considered looking at the League table , research. IMO it was better with stats guys ( was it Gab Sutton for a while ? can't remember the other one), they were genuinely interested and had a proper knowledge of the EFL. TBH I'd be happy with a voice over and extended highlights of the games. Would be great if they did a proper dissection of games on a Sunday, but it's not the Prem so no chance of that.
  3. They must still be sending them out in batches. Spoke to a mate earlier , he received his but his Son hasn't yet.
  4. Only just started watching this, Gary Neville, Roy Keane & Jamie Carragher TBF it's a great and funny program. Some of it is filmed at their stage show and other bis around the Town their tour is in. Best episode for me is when they Ref and Line a game. Well worth looking out for, wether you like them or not.
  5. Brilliant from Wood, but how much better would that score look if we could catch. Now a nasty couple of hours to see how many wickets we can hold on to.
  6. Man we have missed Wood's (and Archer's) pace.
  7. TBF I thought there were 2 noises, but then , I'm the best part of 200 miles away.
  8. I imagine they mentioned that in the first meeting, but they realised they would lose funds. Otherwise .......
  9. Don't you just love to see it.
  10. I love Mark Wood, but I do wonder if the slips will enjoy life if they start edging it, he is rapid. Great to see. Oh for an Archer/Wood opening pair in this series.
  11. @Monkeh nailed it for me. The only thing I'd add, if there has to be change and the number of games are a consideration, give the Clubs a choice of a replay or not. I'd give the lower ranked team the benefit in the conversation if they can't agree. But we all know this is money led, and not money for all.
  12. I saw that there were talks with the Premier League , the FA wanting to sell the rights. Only a matter of time as to when things change to suit the Prem, or aid them making more money.
  13. That bit about planning kits 18 months in advance is interesting. The first problems ( in public at least ) with Elite were around October, they went into Admin in November but as the video says they were frantically bluffing customers . If City had to wait and see what was happening, then had to find a Company get designs passed and made in about 3 months they did well. There are no excuses for the "other Robin" apart from mix up that they had to go with, it would be good if the Club actually came out and explained. Coventry announced they were sticking with Hummel in February ( actually just signed and extension ) , that's brave holding out. Imagine this place if we hadn't launched a shirt, having stuck with the company that couldn't supply the old one fully ? It's a great video and shows how openness , clarity and information can help situations.
  14. England could beat the Aussies , some big hitting but wicket at the right time for England. 27 off 8 needed . Good game.
  15. I have tried before to explain some of the things that went on with Elite (Hummel) , but this is a brilliant video and explains it very well. Along with problems jumping into new kit deals and how long it takes normally. I recommend anyone who has criticised the Club over this to watch the video. I would have liked City to have done something like this to explain things, but we don't really have anyone Media friendly enough to carry it off and the fact they are Youtubers means it's a good watch as well as informative. Love that they explain they were getting no money from the deal with Elite, and that they had to buy their own kit from the Administrators so that they could sell it. As I say , very worth the time to watch.
  16. Tongue is a surprise, one of the pluses so far. I would have kept him in ( unless he has a niggle) and dropped Robinson. Stokes's hesitancy in bowling really makes a difference , and is Moheen capable of bowling all day without impact on his finger ? Not a massive surprise Jimmy being left out I suppose, not been at his best , but you always wonder . The pitch report doesn't give you much, they expect bounce, but the weather is expected to be cloudy and thundery , I would have given Anderson another go. With how we Bat you can never rule a result out (either way), but the draw has to be better odds this time around.
  17. I think when the rules are changed and all Betting Company sponsorship banned, it will be an easier and clearer message to get over. As it is, team that has it's main striker banned for betting , enjoys ££ millions from betting Company sponsorship.
  18. Doesn't seem to be much in the way of news about how long she is expected to be in place. Caretaker & Interim mentioned in the stories I've seen, she's been there as a coach for a while and in charge of the Academy , so she already knows the Club. At least that means no culture shock when it comes to trying to get a "Full English". I wonder if they just let it go for a while and see how it's working out, it at least gives them time to look around if they want to. An interesting story, I really want to get up there this year.
  19. Seems bizarre waiting until to part company, unless something has happened in the last few days. Makes it hard for the new Manager to settle in and get started . Anyway, Paddy Power posted this as.... Big Dunc as soon as he gets out of FGR. Made me smile.
  20. That's what I was thinking. Depending on Moheen's finger , it would be an easy way to bring in a spinner, and on his day he's a very good Bat. With the Cavalier attitude they've adopted, I doubt they would want to weaken the batting. Although Foakes would add a little common sense to the batting. If it was my call, it would be Foakes . It ain't so it wont be.
  21. 0-0 Friday 16th of April , I have no recollection of this game at all. The 4-1 only a little better. We walked over from St. Werburghs , and I remember the noise from our lot as we got near that open end. Great away terrace that used to be and technically my first away game, though I'd been to the Glos Cup, we won on Pens I think.
