Unnecessary imo and will only lead to more controversy (ie one player gets sent to sin bin, while another gets away with it etc) They already have good punishments to give out for abuse to referees, they just need to actually use them

To be fair to JL (never thought I'd say that), he did say that they'd essentially given Pearson 2 seasons to be challenging and now that we (apparently) aren't (I'd disagree) they feel a change makes sense. I expect Manning would be given less time given the circumstances but they'd still give some time
