Cornick over Martin is the only actual improvement imo. I like most of the new signings but it's just so delusional if they really expected them to all bed in immediately and be better than the established championship players we had before. All of the others mentioned absolutely stroll back into the first team here

I love Nigel Pearson tbh but I'm ok with him not being given a new contract right now. What I'm not ok with is that it seems like he's being completely left in the dark by those above which is just massively unfair. He should at least know where he stands in terms of potentially getting a new deal or not. We know he's gone through a lot with Covid and now the back issues so for him to not feel supported in this is quite frankly terrible. It's not surprising though, is it. The "club" have been silent to all of us for a good few years now

The sound system itself is awful but it doesn't help when the guy behind the microphone doesn't have a clue either The referee would have told him quite clearly that the game was stopped for a moment while he was sorting the technical issues with his goal line technology. Downsey then mumbles it back over the mic with no clarity at all. It should have been simple. At the end of the game he kept saying "see you on Saturday" as if we were playing at home this weekend and not the next

Who knows what's happened but I wasn't particularly impressed hearing him speak the other week If his attitude to the rest of the job was the same as that interview then it's good that he's gone
