The offside goal is a difficult one because people will argue either way and the rules are a mess as to what counts as Intentional or not. The penalty was a clear dive and I think VAR should be used in cases like that to make a statement that cheating isn't tolerated. I thought that was supposed to be the case now anyway Probably the worst decision in that game was the red card which was just nonsense. Missing 3 and a half games for that is ridiculous

Particularly at our level, it's a massive waste of money to have "two number ones" in my view. Competition for places being that important is a bit of a myth as well imo. Most of the best teams know who their best players are and who's likely to get in the team if everyone's fit Players don't get better just because there's a copy of them sat on the bench Squad depth itself is of course important, but having two outstanding players in each position is simply unworkable

Personally I think the reality hit home that we've essentially still got the same group of players that's finished 17th and 14th the last 2 seasons Some of the younger talents being a year on may be helpful, but the flipside of that is the likes of James, Weimann and King also having another year on the clock
