I’ve always been more coy on that second point. How much was him, how much of it was due to bidding wars between desperate clubs, and the players just being of incredible standard? He also spent some ******* absurd transfer fees on absolute dross that took us years to recover from, if that’s the comparison here.

Even so, will need to basically lose by at least 3 goals and Leeds win by at least 3 goals…

They did communicate the strategy Dave….we have a clear identity of playing from first team down to u11s, have the best squad we’ve had at this level, and are expecting to push for promotion…but also 10 points off 6th is probably where we expected to be

He absolutely was, key reason being: he was allowed to be. He clearly is managed and kept in check far, far better there than he ever was here. For on and off the pitch matters here, he was allowed to do literally whatever he wanted

Said a few pages back, but imagine being a ‘group CEO’ of a business, and hearing a member of the board say publicly ‘it’s good we don’t have a single figurehead’. Talk about undermined and looked over!

Derby must be one of the heavy favourites to go straight back down unless they have some serious investment over the summer. That squad is absolutely terrible for this level.

I think he’s found his ‘home’ position now and it means we can play him & Cam together, which is a real bonus. Was a total free I think, as Brighton didn’t offer him a deal. Maybe Wimbledon playing proper hard ball for Currie was a bit of a blessing in the end.

I think even wit that, it won’t make a difference imo. He’s not a big earner, hes still a way to go on his contract, it won’t make Burnley any money, personally don’t think it’ll have the pull of say, Conway forcing a move.
