  1. Another reason why it’s so class. So much better than going to city these days.
  2. Sounds like there was a bit of a scrap in the dugout?
  3. Am I right in thinking he got a huge bonus the year we turned a profit due to including Kelly’s sale in the season previous, when actually if we used it toward the incoming season we’d have been in a much better re FFP?
  4. I’ve always been more coy on that second point. How much was him, how much of it was due to bidding wars between desperate clubs, and the players just being of incredible standard? He also spent some ******* absurd transfer fees on absolute dross that took us years to recover from, if that’s the comparison here.
  5. Even so, will need to basically lose by at least 3 goals and Leeds win by at least 3 goals…
  6. They did communicate the strategy Dave….we have a clear identity of playing from first team down to u11s, have the best squad we’ve had at this level, and are expecting to push for promotion…but also 10 points off 6th is probably where we expected to be
  7. And, almost most as important for me, ‘off the pitch’ he was a vile human being
  8. He absolutely was, key reason being: he was allowed to be. He clearly is managed and kept in check far, far better there than he ever was here. For on and off the pitch matters here, he was allowed to do literally whatever he wanted
  9. Oh he absolutely will. He will be seething tonight.
  10. Mark Ashton, premier league CEO Luke Werhun, premier league COO Andy Rolls, premier league head of medical Gary Probert, premier league head of academy Rene Gilmartin, premier league goalkeeping coach Steve Lansdown must be projectile vomiting uncontrollably right now
  11. Clevedon through to play off final. Probably be a fair few people at Bridgy getting sacked tonight.
  12. Said a few pages back, but imagine being a ‘group CEO’ of a business, and hearing a member of the board say publicly ‘it’s good we don’t have a single figurehead’. Talk about undermined and looked over!
  13. ******* hell, I’d be buzzing if I was Group CEO of a set of businesses and heard a member of the board agree “it’s good that we don’t have a figurehead decision maker”
  14. FFS, just heard the snippet Jon - “I want them to understand what we are trying to achieve and how, so that we aren’t setting expectations too high” 6 months ago…. “Promotion is the aim this season” ”best squad we’ve had at this level” It’s just so hard to take it seriously when it can be pulled apart so easily
  15. Will take what we can get, I guess, but it is a shame that two people who made things even worse the last time they publicly spoke are being made to do it again because SL basically has no interest in doing so.
  16. A real wasted opportunity, a very odd approach by the board this season for the women’s side. Really don’t know what they were expecting to happen. Feel sorry for the squad & for Lauren
  17. Derby must be one of the heavy favourites to go straight back down unless they have some serious investment over the summer. That squad is absolutely terrible for this level.
  18. The club not being able to explain the process for something properly & clearly?? I’m shocked!!!
  19. hosted by Paul (exiled Robin), with myself & @Davefevs - enjoy! Will probably be some osib pre-season content over summer.
  20. I think he’s found his ‘home’ position now and it means we can play him & Cam together, which is a real bonus. Was a total free I think, as Brighton didn’t offer him a deal. Maybe Wimbledon playing proper hard ball for Currie was a bit of a blessing in the end.
  21. I think even wit that, it won’t make a difference imo. He’s not a big earner, hes still a way to go on his contract, it won’t make Burnley any money, personally don’t think it’ll have the pull of say, Conway forcing a move.
  22. Manning will get asked about it again on Thursday and deny it, and before Stoke on Saturday Tinns will release a one hour webinar on the detail of the contract offer, page by page
  23. Let us pray it moves back to a sky/c5 platform again next season.
