Frustrated is probably the right word, but certainly not unhappy. That could change following the summer window as I truly believe we’re in the best position we’ve been in for a while. The club think that too. We need to build on some key areas in the squad, and I think we’ve got a real chance.
For what I’m hearing we will shock a few this window.
Another one with insider knowledge. Come on, spill the beans.
@IAmNick beat me to it

He made it clear initially that the squad wasn’t in the right place for loans, and that could cause additional damage. He then stated he didn’t want loans as it could be a barrier to our own players progress. He was definately consistent with his message.
He also spoke in great detail about the packages that clubs demand for loanees. Palace wanted us to pay double Jake O’Brien’s wages for a 5 month loan.
Anyone who flat out says ‘he didn’t like loans’ clearly either doesn’t listen, didn’t like him, or probably both!

Spreading positive energy is a good thing, this place has too many cruel people who love to jump on his back.
He had a fall out with Nigel Pearson, these things happen, it doesn't mean he's evil or something.
BT loves Bristol City, like we do, and he has limitations to his talent, but why the constant need to bash him?
And as for mocking the grammar of his tweet, well that's just poor form, he's not trying to compose quality literary content, it's meant to be a quick read, something simple to digest.
Hes getting this stick because he’s largely brought it on with how he acts on twitter tbh.
Narky replies back to fans over the summer & beyond, the “I’m coming off this platform, see you when we’re premier league” post that he deleted a few weeks later because we beat West Ham. And now this. He’s supposed to be a senior member of the board, and Seems to forget him how it makes the club when he acts like this.
It’s almost child like behaviour.

King will make no difference to us on the pitch so IMO him leaving won’t make us weaker. It’s an interesting summer ahead and i hope the recruitment is done early.
Don’t think you can under estimate his off field, dressing room importance though. Same with James, although he’s a class act on the pitch too.
You need leaders and experience. Losing them both is absolutely huge for different reasons.

46 game extrapolation :
Pre-Manning = 64.4 points
Manning = 60.8 points
A 3.6 point regression.
Jon 11:23 : “this change gives us the best chance to move us forward” or something like that.
Now now, don’t ruin this with maths and facts

Horrible kits, horrible football at times, terrible month of October, truly horrific display of ‘leadership’ from the top.
So glad it’s over. Excited for the summer and next season.

City mid table again, Ashton and all his cronies promoted to the prem, Szmodics finishing championship top scorer.
What a day for the board.

A pint was £2 all day today at St Andrews. Glad I don’t wear uniform.
That yank ***** owner was on the pitch before the game geeing them all up before kick off too. Would wager on him locking himself up in the boardroom until next week.

Seems to be a lot of whataboutery in this thread for some reason, we are 3-0 down ffs, I don’t think that’s cause for any sort of positivity regardless of whatever game it is

Weird if not considering we signed him when Manning was in charge
He was already ‘in the building’ long before though. I’d be surprised if it’s anything more than “well he’s already here and the deal is decent, so may as well” when presented to him by Tinnion. Although id heard the deal was going to be made permanent about 6 weeks into his initial loan.

So whats happened with Gardner-Hickman? Seems to lost his place, hasn't featured much since early March.
Find it hard to believe he’s a player Manning wants, tbh.

Barnsley sacking a manager and trying to appoint a new one for the play offs, and failing to do so, might be one of the most bizarre decisions in recent times

Have it on good authority that Rich Luffman aka Luffers will be the next Taunton T manager.
Happy with that. Did a great job at Cribbs, and brings players and money with him.
Interviews haven’t started yet, not close to anyone yet apparently. It’s a battle of non league ITKers here. Only real ones allowed to care.

He’s just dying to give Bell the first team coach job.
And this is why under this regime we aren’t going to significantly progress. The thinking is constrained and small time. We need a completely new way of looking at things in my view.
As for understanding the club surely Andy King would fit the bill. What he really means is “understand working under Lansdown”.
I don’t think he is. In fairness to Tinns, bringing Micky in I can sympathise with as I think the 16s-18s when he came in had a severe lack of coaches, or quality coaches, so if anything he was doing the club a bit of a favour by coaching at the club part time whilst he was still managing clevedon.

Tom very kindly dug the radio Bristol post match phone in for me last year, after a twitter pleas. Here it is in all its glory. Enjoy it.

Good football administrator
Recruitment (in / out)
Some may question the recruitment out bit, but between him, the board and LJ, they didn’t use the money well, and I very much suspect MA saw transfer profit / P&L directly reflected in his CEO remuneration, ie a conflict of interests / vested interest in trading players, when that might not have been the right thing to do.
Am I right in thinking he got a huge bonus the year we turned a profit due to including Kelly’s sale in the season previous, when actually if we used it toward the incoming season we’d have been in a much better re FFP?

Worse loan signing???

I saw him in (what was) Syndicate (now swx) around that time, with the biggest whad of £20 notes in an elastic band whilst standing at the bar. Couldn’t believe my eyes.
I think him & Ricky Foster are two of the worst ‘professional’ players I’ve ever seen in my life.
