Stuck on RB doing the dishes to catch the Bath Weston analysis & caught Rovers getting their first win of the season in L1 and lord JB is spouting about this being a step to them being the first Bristol club to get into the prem. ffs ?

They’re going for broke this season. They’ll be hugely over budget especially given the lost revenue of the stand. L1 is very weak this season, so they will probably finish top half/10. Would think they’ll be in a bit of bother next season.

If only the interviewer had the balls to ask him why they demolished the stand in the first place. Geoff would’ve properly grilled them for stuff. Can already feel his loss covering both Bristol clubs on RB based on the first few interviews with people at both clubs

I caught the interview Saturday pre game. **** me. Talk about uninspiring, the both of them. Couldn’t answer anything with a straight answer and both sounded incredibly awkward and shifty

He’s had probably 3 occasions where Robins could’ve come here, and was very keen to. Didn’t take the chance. Now he’s doing so well, probably feels a bit silly. I don’t see Nige being here this time next year, personally. One way or another. Would love it if he was though.

They’re all trying to convince themselves they know who Harvey Vale is as well

LJ said he didn’t think he could consistent play to championship standard, so was happy for him to go

No matter the stage of the season that’s a huge huge away win. Let alone first away game of the season. Huge character and deserved win too -

Preston beating Sunderland…..bit of perspective -
I see Friend and Wilson are out injured already. I thought Two 35 year old cbs were ‘statement of intent’ signings?

Was just about to say, wouldn’t mind a bit of comms from him soon tbh

He kept us up because of the January window imo. Tomlin in a cotterill team would’ve kept us up in the same way he did under LJ, no doubt in my mind. Cotts wasn’t backed, and that’s what killed us.

What has head of sales got to do with building a stand and ******* up planning permission? Absolutely shameless. They really are a vile outfit.

Am I reading too much into the fact it’s Lansdown giving a statement and not Nige/Tinnion/Alexander? -

Theoretically yes, but v v few deals are all the money ‘sent’ in one go, or even two goes. Would he a guaranteed ‘up front’ amount but still ‘sent’ in instalments -

And there’s fans who probably think that once the deal goes through, we wake up tomorrow with £20m extra in the bank all in one go
