  1. **** me when will they sort the camera position out for tv broadcasting, far too high up!
  2. And in fairness that would be the exact answer i would expect SL to throw back at me if i were to ask him that question. It’s all water under the bridge now but i personally don’t see the signings of Dele Adebola and Nick Carle (January 2008 perm signings) and then Nicky Maynard and Gavin williams in the summer of 2008 after the play-off final as ‘going for it’. You can make a case for Maynard as £2.25m was a fair sum of money in 2008 at this level but the squad needed so much more than just a marquee striker being brought in to push as on IMO.
  3. I said on a thread a few weeks ago that there have been times when SL could have gone for it. The January of 2008 and the subsequent summer of 2008 after the player off final were the obvious ones long before FFP were a thing. Easy to all say in hindsight now though..unfortunately we are stuck with the fall out from the Ashton regime, its going to be hard going and you just hope we can unearth another academy gem in the mould of a Reid Kelly or Bryan that can be sold for a big fee.

The kid is useless. As i have said before countless times he is not fit to wear the shirt. Just **** off please Callum.
  5. Re- read my post. I said at what point does it become this situation will be interesting. For the record i am a huge fan of Nige i think he is what we need long term you just hope the board can continue to be patient. Obviously no game is a ‘must win’ at this stage but we HAVE to put in a better performance than this against Forest on Tuesday.
  6. Glad i stayed away today. I like Pearson i really do but at what point does it genuinely become a situation where we have to look at it and maybe question if he is the right man for us?
  7. Why, may i ask? Southgate has picked the most in form team available to him tonight, he went for a very attacking line - up and the players ultimately didn’t perform. International football isn’t easy these days and as much as your Foden’s and Grealish’s are top players they haven’t got a divine right to be unlocking very organised and resilient defences at will..
  8. Exactly. Pay on the day prices in this country are scandalous and anyone defending it needs to have a look at themselves IMO.
  9. Either the stats are lying or you are.. I know which one I believe!
  10. We’d be about mid table I’d imagine, I’m not a huge Lansdown fan but that is one thing you cannot knock him for in recent years, even if it is only increasing his investment it benefits the whole club ultimately in a positive way..It’s interesting that Shearer said in an interview that St James’s Park has become really shabby over recent years, for all the money sloshing about the Premier league it’s surprising how little clubs in that league actually do invest in their infrastructure’s. I know a Man United season ticket holder who sits in the Stretford end and he is constantly complaining at how Old Trafford is slowly deteriorating, apparently their was a huge leak in the roof not so long back with rain water pouring on fans in the bottom tier of the stretford, embarrassing really.
  11. Shocking really. Half of the clubs in the Championship including ourselves have better training facilities than Newcastle, that says it all really. Apart from the obvious of buying in new players i think the new owners first job should be getting their facilities up to date.

Its laughable mate. The bottom line is rightly or wrongly firms, violence and the casual culture are a part and parcel of football in this country and across Europe. Am I condoning innocent fans being caught up in incidents of violence? of course not but lets be brutally honest the match day experience for familys has become absolutely excellent in modern day football in the UK. The days of mass disorder at grounds in this country are done. When was the last time anyone can remember disorder at Ashton Gate that involved familys or innocent fans being involved and or hurt? Swansea at home for me was the last time i can remember disorder (if you can even call it that) on a largeish scale.. a few scuffles between like minded fans at the bottom of the Dolman all over within minutes and some of perpetrators got handed custodial sentences.. people need to take into context how few and far between these incidents are now especially inside grounds, it’s almost unheard of. Disorder happens away from the ground so it baffles me as to why people even think the CSF has any effect on their life or match day experience, it’s odd that people on here are so passionate about a sub - culture that doesn’t effect them. Firms and the casual culture will continue to exist in this country and across Europe as ultimately whether the left want to accept it or not football will always continue to be a working class tribal sport and will continue to attract that element of individual to follow it. People need to accept that fact IMO.

Christ.. the words ‘’snow’’ and ‘’flake’’ instantly spring to mind whilst reading your post sorry to say ?
  14. That has got to be the last of the big contracts for Tomlin I’d imagine. I hope the guy has invested wisely as the days of him getting £25k plus a week will now surely be gone.
  15. Haha they are absolutely deluded. League 2 is undoubtedly their level nowadays, untill they get the facilities and infrastructure to suggest otherwise literally everything about that stinking embarrassment of a club is League 2 at BEST.
