  1. Couldn’t have worded it better myself. Hughton was clearly the obvious better choice instead of Holden last summer - a Hughton type manager in the summer of 2018 - 2019 with the money we had available at the time would have been even more interesting and IMO we would have at least tasted the play offs by now if we would of gone down that route.
  2. Give it a rest and go to bed you absolute tool.
  3. So since 2014 he has been at Wigan, MK dons, Aberdeen, Bury, Mansfield, Newport County and now the might Tranmere Rovers.. undoubtedly he has made millions of £ from the game but christ what a dire career he has had by and large since leaving us.
  4. Fair play that is some performance.. if he carries on in that form i’d much rather him in the England setup than Patrick Bamford to be honest.
  5. Indeed. Seems a nice enough lad but i just can’t see him ever making it here for whatever reason.
  6. Always enjoyed watching JET - he’s probably found his level in the SPL though in reality.
  7. Their not his players though are they. Forget about how much they cost or what international experience they have, you buy players to fit a system a style of playing - you buy players to fit the identity you want the team to be. Pearson clearly has a way he wants to play like most good experienced managers do and it’s obvious the vast majority of this squad aren’t up to it. Johnson and Ashton have stock piled an expensive bunch of individuals with no forward - thinking. Players weren’t bought to fit a system under those clowns, as I understand some weren’t even physically scouted. Pearson has a huge job on his hands now going forward and with little money it is going to be hugely difficult. A manager of Pearsons experience and quality should have been brought in after the 17/18 season - it was clear Johnson had taken us as far as he could then but Lansdown and the boards dithering has now cost us hugely down the road. We are in a mess and as I've previously said the blame for me lays squarely at the door or Steve Lansdown and his boy for allowing it to happen..
  8. In an empty stadium week in week out without any home crowd advantage - again something that had ‘’never been done’’ in 125 years.
  9. But when was the last time we had 2 players that have come back after having solid performances at a Euro’s for their country? Both Kalas and Nagy’s stock are high at the moment and if they don’t feel apart of the managers plans here who can blame them for wanting out..
  10. Nice touch mate ? hopefully we can do Havana proud today and get the win!
  11. Why? This could be a great move for him.. Contrary to popular belief in this country but there is actually a big wide footballing world outside of the Premier league you know!
  12. I’ve always been a huge fan of Nagy, as others have said i think fait has transpired against him here with him and his partner probably feeling hugely isolated due to covid and not being able to travel home plus the injuries he has suffered along the way will have all unsettled him. It’s a shame as he clearly has a lot of talent but i think to be quite frank he isn’t a Pearson player, he isn’t somebody Nigel would have signed so i think its best for both parties if we try and get what ever dough we can for him and move on.
  13. Same. As an opposition team i think you would look to Vyner as a weak link you can expose. I think this season is a big on for Zac.
  14. Absolutely shocking - wouldn’t of expected anything less from them though to be fair..
  15. No sympathy for either Barca or Real - years and years of spunking money left right and centre and lording it over everyone else in world football has finally caught up with them it would seem..!
  16. Shocking to see both them and Schalke go down in the same season. I’ve always been a big fan of the Bundesliga but i feel the quality and competitiveness has regressed over recent years, Bayern winning yet another title and it’s all becoming very stale and predictable in Germany. It sort of really highlights how good the Premier league is at the moment, still hugely competitive at the top end and strength and depth like no other league in the world IMO.
