  1. You can’t blame anyone for wanting Pearson though can you, on paper it is/was the perfect appointment. Isn’t working out for whatever reason but i still stand by wanting him at the time.
  2. He couldn’t do any worse IMO. Would probably get the bare minimum out of them and make us organised and hard to beat.
  3. I’ve almost gone past caring which is worrying. I didn’t even bother to check the result untill just then and actually chuckled when i saw we let in a last min goal again.
  4. As i feared The fanbase is starting to turn now, the patience shown with Pearson has been admirable by us all IMO but as the poster above me has rightly said we should at least be gritty and difficult to beat and we aren’t even that. Not sure what the answer is but we need to do something.
  5. I’d love to be a fly on the wall in that managers house tonight! The wife isn’t going to be happy is she ??
  6. It’s embarrassing and cringeworthy. Bristol City Football Club training facility would have done but unfortunately that doesn’t have enough of a commercial catchy ring to it for the corporate bellends that we now have running the club and Bristol Sport.
  7. Ive tried to tolerate you but i just canny anymore. Onto the block list you go..!
  8. Unbelievable isn’t it. If you believe some posters on here then it’s not even worth turning up to play the teams with parachute payments in this division as you are nailed on for defeat!! Fair play to Preston, this is English football and teams like Fulham AFCB and WBA can obviously be beaten if you go into these games with some resemblance of belief and a gameplan.
  9. I’ve said it on another thread that in his defence he is not being used affectively Pearson, the guy looks completely burnt out playing 2 games a week. A fresh Martin used correctly is still a decent striker at this level IMO.
  10. Decent. A couple of wins and we could create a clear bit of daylight between ourselves and the relegation zone. Can’t see where the next couple of wins will come from mind you!
  11. I like your optimism and i hope your right.
  12. Indeed. Lansdown has been happy with mediocre when it comes to the footballing side at AG, anything more than that involves far too much investment which he is not willing to provide and before people talk about FFP he had years to go for it before it had even come in, the January of 2008 and the summer of 2008 being the obvious periods.
  13. O’Dowda just hasn’t got the talent of Brownhill its as simple as that IMO. I actually don’t doubt COD’s commitment or desire, i just genuinely don’t think he is good enough just like many of our squad.
  14. Yup thats pretty much the same list for me also. As you said Dasilva is a controversial one but for me he is vastly over rated - a very very average defender who doesn’t even offer a particularly great deal going forward either. The scary/worrying thing is what are those listed players actually worth in todays market and who would want them? I’d be all for shipping them out but will it realistically generate enough funds for a rebuild for Pearson?
  15. Nobody is blaming Johnson you absolute belter, plenty blaming Ashton and Lansdown but you have clearly fabricated the Johnson thing in your own head.
  16. Bereft of ideas. I like Pearson but what an impossible job he has at the moment
  17. And its almost a guarantee he will start Martin again on Saturday..
  18. I think we will probably be alright this year and manage to limp our way to safety but it is going to be a dire season. I’m at a loss tonight really in regards to the problem at our club, they are so deep rooted and we have such a poor squad bloated squad. I feel for Pearson in some respects but then i really don’t think him or his coaching staff are doing enough, problem is you sack him and who comes in? We are in a mess and **** knows what or where we go from here to be honest. Depressing times yet again for us all.
  19. Losing patience with Pearson now. It’s just not working is it?
  20. He’s a decent enough striker at this level when used properly. You can’t flog the bloke and play him twice a week
  21. Scary that. In any other situation Pearson would be sacked or very close to it.
  22. Indeed. Ive defenced Pearson but seriously doubting him now.
  23. Commentator hits the nail on the head for me, why does Martin make these runs into the channels when he has zero mobility and pace to actually do anything? It’s easy pickings for their defence!
