  1. I would say so. Granted it’s slow progress but i think we are. Battling performances like today are testament to that, 100% convinced we will stay up now to be honest.
  2. It’s the God awful defending that gets me. Really didn’t think we would see it from a Nigel Pearson team.
  3. I would say so. Granted it’s slow progress but i think we are.
  4. He needs a rest, being flogged to death currently. I still maintain he is a decent player at this level when used correctly..
  5. Has this new strain killed anyone ?The answer is no.
  6. VAR is horrendous. It needs to be gotten rid of 100%. Goal line technology was the only technology the game actually needed.
  7. I’ve only been in the clubshop once but it really is poor, sharing it with the rugby doesn’t help either. I may be wrong in saying this but the actual footprint of the shop seems smaller than our old megastore next to the Atyeo? If it’s bigger than it certainly isn’t by much. So poor to be honest, a more a less brand new stadium and the club shop is made the same if not smaller.. I worked on the new Tottenham stadium and was involved in part of the fit out of their new clubshop, obviously the Spurs stadium is on a different level and cost to our facilities but the size of the shop is unbelievable. It is something that needs looking at by the club IMO. Personally i think incorporating the rugby and football club merchandise together is a stupid idea. Surely between the Lansdown and the South Stand there is enough space to have 2 independent stores located?
  8. Nothing to do with his commitment to the club IMO. As others have said and something that i have been saying for a while is unfortunately he just isn’t quite good enough at this level. He would make a fine League one defender but i think the championship is a step too far for him. What people need to understand is Not every single academy graduate is going to make it and then be sold on for tens of millions -that’s just football.

    So

The forum will be predictably quiet tonight as per usual after a win…! For me Pearson is doing a good enough job with the very limited shower of shite that he has it his disposal. He needs at LEAST 3 or 4 transfer windows to really put his stamp on the squad and only then will we see the true Nigel Pearson’s Bristol City. I honestly think given time and funds he will have us challenging at this level in a season or two.
  10. Indeed! 10 points clear of the drop aswell.. the bottom 3 are starting to get cut adrift which is happy days!!
  11. We must climb quite nicely up the table with that win? Quite a lot of the teams in and around us losing..
  12. As already said he’s made of glass. The people relying on him being the messiah are deluded to be honest.
  13. Some big hitters at that level , League one was never an easy league to get out of anyway even harder these days!
  14. Fair play - have the club given you any kind of reward/trophy for your efforts just out of interest?
  15. You have beaten me too it, you are spot in what you are saying. Parachute payments are aren’t an issue overly IMO, with the absurd amounts of money you need to compete and just stay in the Prem its common sense that initially when you drop out and the TV money dries up clubs are going to need some help financially. What should then change is as you have said the ffp rules for the rest of us. If a billionaire chairman of a club without parachute payments wants to plough in the same amount to be able to compete then they should be allowed too.
  16. Indeed. Very difficult to get it right and 9 times out of 10 the ‘’very good old uns’’ at this level still command big salaries. Take a look at Gary Cahill for example, an extremely good older player at this level earning wages way out of our league.
  17. What a load of absolute bullshit. The players staff and the club as a whole are lucky they still have any paying fans still coming to support them!!
  18. People can call out the players all they want and I wouldn’t disagree that they need to do a lot more but christ almighty after what is coming up to almost a year in charge i expected Pearson to have gotten a lot more out of what he has had at his disposal. We look so poor all over the pitch, defensively more often than not we look all over the place and imo that is a direct reflection on the coaching or rather lack of it of Pearsons staff.
  19. Bakinson is a disgrace, what managers see in him god only knows. He is shocking out of possession and equally as bad in possession today.
