  1. Was fantastic here before he got injured. To be honest i would much rather have Afobe now than Wells given the chance.
  2. Thought Max had a good game to be fair. His distribution impressed me the most, he is very good with his feet.
  3. King didn’t even complain just started walking down the tunnel. ******* idiot.
  4. I was waiting for one of our players to go up to the *** not a single one did.. says it all about our players and just modern footballers in general to be honest. Gutless.!
  5. Whats the crack with Austin then?! Im all for players giving a bit as they wheel away to celebrate but the *** has carried it on even to the half way line he was still giving it some.. what a bellend
  6. It is a bit odd isn’t it. I mean fair play to @Mr Popodopolous as he has divulged into great detail on here about our financial situation and has gone to depths that many average fans couldn’t. It just begs the question of where does he find the time to then go into great depths about another football clubs accounts aswell. Got to admire his dedication to the subjects i suppose!?
  7. Well you clearly give a shit because you replied you absolute bellend ?
  8. I’ve been the same. I’ve got back into playing golf again after a bit of time away from the game and that takes up most of my Saturday’s now to be honest! Sad that loyal lifelong fans are staying away but things at the club need to change before i come back in a committed way as i have in the past.
  9. A horrendous set of accounts but not surprising. Where do we go from here is the million dollar question? It certainly isn’t going to be easy..
  10. Indeed. I unfortunately know a couple of hard core gas heads both from hanham who will literally avoid driving or coming south of the river at all unless they absolutely HAVE too. As you said Any sags that coming to Ashton gate on their on free will and put money in our coffers the joke really is on them!
  11. Saves me being in a foul mood tomorrow when the inevitable shite performance and result gets churned out! Merry Christmas!
  12. Imagine Nige with £24 mill to spend.. genuinely think he would have us challenging if he had those sort of funds.
  13. I think there is but only if you are a big name that will sell shirts and bring in the crowds.. Kasey Palmer certainly wouldn’t fit that bill and then there is the question of would he want to move his young family over there for any length of time. It seems that most European players only stick it out over there for a year or 2 max.
  14. Indeed. Will be very uncertain times for Mr Palmer and his agent in the next year or so. Genuinely don’t see where he goes from here for his next £20 plus k a week deal over 2 or 3 years - i just can’t see him getting that anywhere else especially not in this country.
  15. Looks like he is ****** and quite rightly so. Multiple women all coming forward all obviously reporting being assaulted at different times. Not looking good for him.
  16. Weimann is a player our squad cannot do without imo. I echo what @spudski has said in the fact that he is frustrating as hell but for me his sheer work rate and willingness to run and run and run and stretch the opposition is invaluable. People say he is just a runner but how rare are modern day footballers that are now willing mentally or physically to put in a shift for 95 mins? Many either seemingly cannot because of physical limitations or many just don’t want to do it. We all know we need to add more firepower to our striking department and when that finally happens that should in reality limit Weimann to becoming just a squad player, untill then he is crucial to us IMO.
  17. Aslong as people keep paying the prices the clubs will keep charging it. A few grumbles on a forum or a couple of banners in the stands isn’t going to make a blind bit of difference.
  18. Agreed. The transfer window Cotts had in the summer of 2014 was one of the best i can remember to be honest, not sure how easy that is going to be to replicate in 2022 and especially a division higher but like you said we have to at least give it a go and that has to be the model.
  19. Which is exactly the sort of news we should be expecting with the greatest of respect. If Towler couldn’t drop down to the conference and shine then something would be seriously wrong.
  20. It would be very unfair to rely on a 19 year old with barely any experience at this level to be the answer to our defensive woes. As we all know It’s experience and know how that we need right now and with the greatest of respect to Towler I just can’t see him making any real difference. As others have said I’d imagine he has been brought back to just bolster the numbers if anything.
  21. I doubt Pearson has much if anything to spend in January anyway so I wouldn’t worry.
  22. Indeed. I have said as much on here before that untill Pearson has the opportunity of bringing in more of his type of player we won’t see truly what he is trying to achieve. There is still too much of a losers/negative mindset amongst many of this squad and that steams back to the LJ era. Players that need to be moved on to help their own careers as much as it is needed to help the cause here.
