  1. The point is that the basic set up is in place already. It needs upgrading yes but there is ne need to buy much land or purchase and demolish property as per Crossrail. Its just the West Country backwater syndrome again when it comes to investment. Country bumkins are running the asylum in these 'ere parts!!
  2. Christ it's nearly 2020! How hard can it be in todays age. Brunel did it with no technology years ago. ffs. (sorry Robbored)
  3. So right Bob. With all the obscene amounts of money in football, the search was stopped because of the cost (allegedly).
  4. Agree totally. No rivalry with Cardiff today. Keep praying.
  5. Just bear in mind that if we go down and the gas somehow stay up!!!!! Just saying..... Don't forget that apart from this thread there is much (unwarranted), doom and gloom on OTIB.
  6. Even the weather is better at BS3
  7. I actually feel a bit sorry for DC. I'm sure there is a half tidy manager in there somewhere but he's working with no support or backing. He should walk away before he gets a "sacking" on his CV. Perhaps he can get a stress sick note from his doctor to cover his departure. Rovers look a lost cause atm and I can't believe some still think there is financial backing waiting. I don't hate them cos they are a Bristol club (sort of) but I do fear for their future under the present structure. Yes they give us plenty to laugh about but they do nothing for the image of Bristol in footballing terms.
  8. Will he be man enough to face up and apologise. I doubt it. Rovers fans should be ashamed of him and out him now. That's so many levels below banter. What a lowlife. Wonder what his parents think of him.
  9. Don't tell em that. They will class that as another achievement to brag about.
  10. If they can now exceed our scoreline up there then they WILL have something to gloat about. However ..........??
  11. I think this may have been against Chichester not Gillingham. I was there but just 12 years old.
  12. I think today they found out what its like playing against 11 for the whole game.
  13. What I said in my post " most obvious flaw" about us not getting tight to their wide men has cost us again tonight, and I am no football coach but it is so obvious.
  14. I was going to start a Bristol Rovers success thread, but couldn't find anything to put on it.
  15. The annoying thing is that this will be treated as a cup shock!! But its not.
  16. Everything feels wrong for me about today. Kick off time is all wrong. I'm waiting for my lift now but feel I should already be screaming about another awful ref! Can't help feeling we will get well stuffed today, but if its any consolation, I'm usually wrong.
  17. Sad news Rich. Sounds like a great old fella. My dad did some time in Burma, horrible place during wartime. May they rest in peace with the rest of the heroes.
  18. Great read Hav, and funnily enough, I love Marmite as my name suggests.
  19. Congrats to Rovers. 2 promotions back to back is tough. Good luck in Div 1 next year. Now shut up!!
