Just taking in your points, are you saying that if we were doing things differently we would be doing better? U can’t help but feel this is the best tune we are going to get out of the club at present and it is punctuated by the odd unforeseen high and low (that’s football as we know). The ‘blocks of 10’ has become a fashionable benchmark so let’s see where we are after 20? My hope for the season would’ve been 12-15 with a worry of a relegation battle. If we are 12-15 after 20 games then we have to be relatively happy surly? It almost means we will lose a chunk, play poorly at times but also play well and pick up some points. This is the reality of the situation. I didn’t think we were playoff material after winning at Cardiff and neither am I bricking after losing to promotion elect Bournemouth.

This has been a worrying trait for a while. We allow to teams to transition into attack so quickly.

It’s Bournemouth. They are going to beat most teams and go up this year. No other ******* manager is going to work much better given are constraints. We will finish mid table this year and lose somewhere between 12-15 along the way. If we’re struggling next season then fair enough let’s have a look at a whole

Losing Williams so early is a massive blow. You’re not going to get much lite of a tune out of this team against Bournemouth.

Expecting a 2-0 win for Bournemouth. We are what we are and simply don’t have enough to compete. I shall look forward to us hopefully playing with desire and purpose but ultimately I will be moving on from this quite quickly and not reading too much into it should we lose.

Absolutely! The whole, ‘introduce draconian rules at grass roots level but let the superstars do and influence as they wish’ approach ? Thats how you instigate change in an institution, bully the the lowest levels whilst the very top do as they wish ?

Lots for different reasons. Some were important to the club some were just important to me. Watford away in 96 or 97 was a watershed moment for me in terms of how I have followed the club ever since. A lot of ‘growing up’ done that day for different reasons!

I think there are phases where it’s not even conceivable to say we’re ‘trying’ to do the same. Again, far too weak.

Interesting times. So many areas where we are just weak both physically and mentally. I honestly couldn’t tell you what we are set up to do, both with and without ball. It’s like Pat just sends 15 players out there and hopes for the best. How’s it been allowed to get like this?

I’m only asking the question, but what are peoples opinions of our current injury situation? Im not a physio so just asking an honest question. Are they different kinds of injury to last year? Is 7/8 out injured normal for a championship team?

Just following on from our chat at the weekend over what a ‘good performance’ is and how each of us arrives there, the Second Tier podcast think we got it exactly right on Saturday and played a blinder relying on our ability to switch shape and draw upon the resilience Nige has brought with him. Just interesting how we all see things differently ?
