It’s difficult isn’t it. I honestly don’t know the answer. The squad is the squad assembled by the club. Just a clueless operation over the last 3 years. I have to still believe in Pearson because I do not know the alternative solution. But let’s not sugar coat this evening. It was woeful. Very bad.

I don’t think that’s quite true. The start of the 17/18 season saw a city team that was arguably as good as any in the last 40 years. Hardly any fans would disagree. The problem was we began to nose dive and encounter problems from the February then throughout the rest of Johnson’s tenure. Yes we had the odd run of games and cracking away result but we just stalled and began to decline. Johnson was definitely part of that but just as culpable were Lansdown and Ashton.

Been here for decades. We’ve had loads of opportunities since the mid eighties amd not once did we back ourselves properly. We simply felt the zenith was simply getting back to division 2

Quite simply I have no idea if Pearson will save the day. I do know that Lansdown, Ashton and Johnson fostered and nurtured this mess over the last 3. Aim your anger solely at them.

Best to just sit back and not get too invested. The mess that was allowed to fester over the last 3 years is not going to solved in a season.
