That’s fair enough. I really couldn’t care at present. -

I appreciate I’m on a forum about a club I dearly love, but does anyone else feel like I do, in that I really couldn’t give a **** about this season. If the new season starts in August, fine. If not, I don’t really care.- 9808 replies

That’s interesting. What source are you using for the 0.04% mortality rate of covid-19? https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality John Hopkins suggests the mortality rate of the virus is far higher. If you are referring to just the rate per 100k of the population, then any medical professional will tell you that’s not how you judge the threat. -

Awful paper. I always find it depressing but not surprising people consume the tabloids and broadloids as they do. I don’t think I’d mind as much if they presented themselves as magazines, clear in their opinion and agenda, but to present themselves as newspapers is deplorable. If you had to publish your sports reporting and lifestyle magazines separately, the circulations would drop monumentally. And yes, as a football fan you should always be disgusted by the way Bettison, the Sun, Ingham and Thatcher immediately began to cover up the police failings on the day by blaming and discrediting football fans. Their actions, lies, discrediting and cover up over the following years, is the real crime and evil of Hillsborough, not Duckenfield’s incompetence on the day. It could have been any set of fans. -

What annoys me is how everything is driven by money. Football isn’t important, it’s just a game, yet somehow we’ve let money and greed consume it. The truth is it really wouldn’t matter if we just stopped this season and started again in August/September. It really doesn’t matter. When you pose arguments for why we should finish it, the truth is they always boil down to money. Sad and depressing . -

‘Shows and Event’ can be slightly different and offer cancellation cover akin to a travel policy. However these tend to be geared toward one off or annual events. A small music venue hosting regular local bands would have standard commercial insurance and the vast majority would not have this cover. What I’m finding is it isn’t the short sharp shock that can’t be absorbed, it’s the longevity of its nature. We reviewed our own BCP 2 weeks ago and discovered that a major weakness was assuming that a longer shutdown would be ‘site specific’ and not nationwide. Its these kind of unforeseen issues, never taking ‘human disease’ extension as we never thought it would be applicable, that are causing a challenge. On a positive, we saved the banks 10 years ago (then paid for it through austerity) now they can save us. Funny old world eh? -

You would possibly need a ‘Human Disease’ extension under your Business Interruption’ section of your commercial insurance, obviously subject to policy wording. The truth is very few will have this. Some will say they never knew, the vast majority just probably wouldn’t have paid for it as they saw the risk as so small. Some people struggle to justify basics like ‘storm and flood’, let alone obscure extensions to BI. -
I know what I would do.

I wouldn’t get to focused on the ‘38th’ but, the more relevant point is how this players are remembered or honored by the club. Dare I say it, but I’d like to think if I was billionaire Steve Lansdown, I would have thought a lot more about this situation and what could be done for those players today.

@Shtanley interview with Jonathan Pearce was a real eye opener. I appreciate he has his biases, but certainly a perspective on the club and despite all the money pumped into shiny new assets, the lack of anything in recognition of what these, many now poor, players did for us.

Booooooooo!

Oh come now, indulge us this one guilty pleasure for an evening at least.

That is some signing. Hope our books stand up to scrutiny ?

Hate the EFL all you want but never forget the Premier League, FA and 5 arrogant clubs, would see us all go to the wall, if it meant they became a little bit richer.
-
Starts with with wage caps from the top down. Sick to the back ******* teeth of football and it starts with the c**** at the very top of the premier league and scummy clubs like Liverpool etc. who believe that foitball owes them a Devine right because Paul in Exeter or Dev in Hounslow buys a Liverpool shirt instead of just being proud of where there from and supporting there club. I cannot tell you how annoyed I am when my kids are asked who they support and when they reply City, they are then asked, and which premiership team. C****. Ive almost had enough, very close now.

Ha, Brilliant.

The greatest 5 aside team ever at goals were the Cheeky Monkeys, some on here may remember their live up ?

Bristol City v Stoke City Match Day 15
054123 replied to havanatopia's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Joe Allen has been lively, but Stoke are poor. If we lose this people will say6 points was a good return from the last 3 games and I wouldn’t disagree. But taking each match in its own merits it would be disappointing to lose to a team this poor. -
