  1. Proud of the team, can't knock them. A few mistakes but you're not going to play against the champions without making any. Brilliant performance and we're not at the end yet.
  2. Fair enough. At least they're saying nice things about Alexander Scott.
  3. We've called Andy Cole by that name for an entire career despite him actually preferring and used to being called Andrew. Not sure Cam v Cameron is a huge deal
  4. We'd have been pissed off if that penalty was against us, but you do see them given. Wasn't really a pen imo.
  5. Second this, their quality has always been excellent for GAA.
  6. Never used ChromeOS personally, but if all you want is a basic machine for browsing, streaming, basic document editing, then you really shouldn't be worrying about specs whatsoever. That means if you are happy to go with ChromeOS, the quality of the keyboard and screen are probably your main factors. Maybe keep an eye on reviews when making a decision in that regard. As @Taz says above, they actually sound perfect for that use case.
  7. Such as what, just out of interest?
  8. Agree with most of 2015's post, it's really true. It's getting ridiculous. Imo men need to find a way of controlling their urges and emotions because they are constantly making terrible decisions and seem absolutely incapable of controlling themselves, but on the flip side there is also sod all guidance and support out there. I can't imagine how many of our problems would disappear if blokes could actually control themselves properly, but then again the culture that we all create for each other doesn't exactly encourage compassion and openness. Also anyone criticising the victim and making comments about money can get in the bin. Whatever happened in that part of the story is pretty much a moot point. The fact is that the recording exists and it almost certainly happened, and what Greenwood did is disgusting.
  9. Disappointing it has to be said, but the player wanted to go, and if this means that we bring forward the 'steadying of the ship' by 6 months or so as a consequence, then long-term that can only be a good thing. I know it doesn't change things overnight, but I want to see Pearson lead this team without the restrictions he's had to operate under. Priority number 1 is just staying up. If we do that, then the flexibility it provides means our business this January will be decent for the future of the club.
  10. It really is odd, I'm quite similar. I daresay we all suffer a similar thing - to me 20 years ago is still 1980. Perhaps it's a similar thing, your mind has failed to pick up the missing years.
  11. Only because it's sold out. I think they started at £53 originally.
  12. EDIT: Actually no, I shouldn't have bitten, this is way off topic. But what a load of indoctrinated nonsense.
  13. For every daft and impatient Gen Z'er there will be a daft and impatient boomer. You always hear of stupid fans saying 'I've had a season ticket for 30 years and I've had enough, until we get a new manager I'm out', and stuff like that. The world as a whole definitely wants everything a lot quicker, but it's just a football fan thing, not a generational thing.
  14. It's relatively accurate at times to be fair. The owner has had a bit of a meltdown in recent times though...
  15. Definitely keep for me. It might be dreadful, but I'm not sure there is any stand-out replacement out there. I also think he's done wonders outside of the actual results, which sounds a bit ridiculous, but bringing through youth players and buying into the club culture will stand in good stead if he can get through this patch and actually make use of a 'normal' transfer window at some point. If we got rid, we'd probably wonder what could have been one day, given he has only ever operated under restrictions that barely any City managers have faced in recent years. Certainly only O'Driscoll in the past couple of decades.
  16. I think in isolation it would be fine, you could put it down to him being in a bad mood, but for some Pearson's reputation will precede him. It's not that long ago where he had that episode when trying to belittle a journalist, before being absolutely put in his place by Pat Murphy. Of course in some cases it may be justified, but Ali Durden has never struck me as anything other than a pretty fair and easy going interviewer, and we don't really know what's happened off camera or in previous interviews either. I'm a fan of Nige, and I'm grateful that he says things as they are. That doesn't mean you need to try to put down people who are just doing their job. But I will agree with some in that if this is literally the only instance of it, the reaction is definitely overkill.
  17. Not in any way as old as the other posts in this thread, but a visit to Modelmania in St George was a right treat as a kid. Fairly sure it briefly appeared in an episode of Skins once too, though it might have been a different shop.
  18. Honestly I'd never heard of party line phones. Had no idea that was a thing.
  19. I think your best bet now would be to try some sort of photo recovery tool. I'm not clued up enough to recommend any, but a quick Google found this. Maybe check out some reviews and try one of these apps and it might be able to recover at least some of them ?.
  20. Not sure, I’m sure someone else can be more accurate, but I’m going to guess around 1991? Based on the open end still being there, but the East End being sheeted in red.
  21. I think if you're going for a premium phone nowadays, no matter what you get it's going to be pretty decent. Sounds like you might be able to save a bit of money between the Samsung and the Google though - it would be easier to make an educated guess if you could share which models you're considering. The user experience between the 2 would be largely the same, but one might have an edge in terms of camera, battery time, price, etc.
  22. Mezze used to be outstanding. Haven't been in a while but I heard the chef there left and it's supposedly not as good these days, but could be nonsense. Have heard good things about The Grapevine but yet to eat there myself.
  23. Someone actually posted these fantastic shots on Facebook the other day, ones I'd not seen before either.
