  1. Absolutely not. On ticket day, our entire group will be online with every device imaginable on them refreshing the ticket page, ideally all on separate connections. It's very difficult, but if your entire group is committed, you have a good chance. Every person can buy a maximum of 6 tickets. Everyone is back, so my self-imposed social media ban is now off. I hope everyone had an amazing time, can't wait for October to roll around, and hopefully be involved this time! Wet Leg and Fontaines DC looked decent from clips I saw, will have to give them a proper watch soon.
  2. Not going to get dragged into the BLM discussion but fair enough on the Covid point, I had thought it was after, not before, so fair point.
  3. Difference being, when was the last time Neville's or Lineker's opinions on Twitter actually endangered the lives of people in our country? It's probably not even a stretch to claim that Le Tissier's Covid bollocks has indirectly killed someone.
  4. Kinda see where Harry is coming from here. I bet a lot of people here would move back to the UK in a similar situation, supposing all of their family is there that is.
  5. Absolutely this. The first Glasto that I can ever remember where I'm voluntarily not going. Just going to have to avoid all social media for a week.
  6. He did a podcast with Ipswich fans nearly a year ago, which is titled 'Running towards adversity', quoted from him. This is definitely a Mark Ashton/David Brent-pushed idea .
  7. This should be quite interesting. I find the MLS quite entertaining, it's not a particularly great league but having the odd star player in there certainly makes the games more open and flowing, I don't think I've ever seen a bad MLS match come to think of it. The interesting thing here is that the TV deal is not far off triple the previous offering, so the standard should pick up with the money coming in. Intrigued to see what happens here.
  8. Toto Wolff has said that Hamilton has been trying the more experimental setups, at the further extreme ends of setup to try to help fix the porpoising. That's not to knock Russell, he's had a perfect start and might well be quicker than Hamilton, but it seems Hamilton has been tasked with trying to fix the car in races rather than push it.
  9. Of course, and to be fair I initially thought your post was meant more hatefully than it clearly was so fair play for your explanation. But as correct as you may well be in thinking that way, the knock off in saying that it's due to ticking boxes, is that you've also essentially said there that he probably doesn't deserve the job, which in itself is a bit unfair too. Particularly considering we know sod all about it at this stage.
  10. They always seem to do this at the Bernabeu too, always found it odd.
  11. CoD certainly did go past players, at least for a period, I remember him doing it, some of his close ball control and trickery was quite decent. But when he was injured and out of the side for long periods, or only used as a sub or as a bit-part player, he probably failed to build up any momentum. In fact, the one move I remember him doing most was simply sprinting as far as he could with the ball, and then when he found a player in the way, just stopping and turning around. Time and again. Truth is he could have offered us a lot more, but with an extended spell in a side there's certainly a bit of potential there, and that could mean a decent player. Whether that will happen or not at Cardiff, I'm not sure, but it certainly felt like the right time for us and him to part ways, for both side's sake. I definitely wish him luck (I must add personally, not for Cardiff!), he didn't seem like a bad egg, it just didn't work out.
  12. Cheers. Yeah forgot about The Overlap as well actually, that's decent.
  13. Only just getting into podcasts myself really (10 years too late probably). Are there many others like this that people would recommend, and/or any others involving City players? I've only ever listened to OSIB really. I did listen to the Jimmy Glass UTC episode which was brilliant. This one is well good. Very likeable guy is Bradley Orr, even if he was a bit of a numpty about the Magna Carta stuff. Couple of the interviewer lads are a bit irritating but Bradley Orr is a top guy.
  14. You're right, he'll almost certainly bring someone out. Probably bloody Noel or something like that though.
  15. Seeing as he hasn't announced any UK dates yet I'd imagine he's penned in to play a festival next to the Dublin dates to be honest. Most likely BST or something.
  16. I think I did mention it in the post Unless I'm misreading your post!
  17. We had some guy called John Burns on our books. Wikipedia says he played 11 times but to be honest I don't remember him playing once.
  18. Considering it's one of the most overplayed songs of all time, and considering that it's played as the end to literally every night in every club since about 2005, seeing Mr Brightside live is somehow still something incredibly special imo. With most of the movement being British, who'd have guessed that a Las Vegas band would write *the* noughties indie tune?
  19. Primavera lineup always looks pretty decent, same with Mad Cool (though I've heard mixed things about that one). Always a good idea to head off any potential clashes with another festival ?. It's always one that we've considered so I'd be intrigued to hear what you think of it. Just took a look actually.... Tame Impala, The National, The Strokes, Fontaines, Gorillaz.... that is a well strong lineup.
