  1. Seeing as he hasn't announced any UK dates yet I'd imagine he's penned in to play a festival next to the Dublin dates to be honest. Most likely BST or something.
  2. I think I did mention it in the post Unless I'm misreading your post!
  3. We had some guy called John Burns on our books. Wikipedia says he played 11 times but to be honest I don't remember him playing once.
  4. Considering it's one of the most overplayed songs of all time, and considering that it's played as the end to literally every night in every club since about 2005, seeing Mr Brightside live is somehow still something incredibly special imo. With most of the movement being British, who'd have guessed that a Las Vegas band would write *the* noughties indie tune?
  5. Primavera lineup always looks pretty decent, same with Mad Cool (though I've heard mixed things about that one). Always a good idea to head off any potential clashes with another festival ?. It's always one that we've considered so I'd be intrigued to hear what you think of it. Just took a look actually.... Tame Impala, The National, The Strokes, Fontaines, Gorillaz.... that is a well strong lineup.
  6. Thought the same about them until I saw them at Glasto a few years ago and they were bloody great to be fair to them. Having said that with the state of my head that night I probably would have moshed to James Blunt.
  7. Could be way off here, I've been out of keeping up with it for a long time now, but I'd have thought high energy prices = more difficult to mine new BTC, so it should mean Bitcoin would go up in price by that logic. I think energy cost is having an impact, but in a different way, in that it's making people pull out speculative investments in the crypto space because they need more cash now for bills.
  8. That lineup looks ace. So incredibly jealous of the lot of you, my favourite place on the planet... missing Glasto is one of the downsides of leaving the UK
  9. I might be slightly biased but Koocha really is absolutely outstanding. Can't recommend it enough, whether you eat meat or not. The only better place around Gloucester Road/Stokes Croft for me is The Coconut Tree. That's a great list to be fair. I hear great things about Chilli Daddy but still yet to go. Does anyone remember Maximillions? Legendary place to go for lunch.
  10. Absolutely. If the latest rumours are to be believed (dressing room divides and some players being referred to as a teachers pet) then it just shows how much that club stinks, inside out. Maybe if they had a few more teachers pets, you know, players who actually buy into the philosophy of a manager and not think they're above playing as a team, they might have done a fair bit better. I really feel for the decent lads in that changing room. Just completely tarnished and ruined because of the actions of the rest of them.
  11. I'm not surprised. You could finally go down AG again without ****ting yourself at the sight of him!
  12. I get the sentiment for a lot of these suggestions but in practice I really don't think many of them are workable. The referee 'challenges' for example - great idea, but we already have VAR slowing games down. If we have referees being challenged at least 6 times a game (and probably more), the game would be even slower than it is now. Similarly with agents being paid by players not clubs, I absolutely agree but we all know if any change was brought in, clubs would just pay their players the difference in order to cover the agent fee. As annoying as it is when things go against you, I do worry about 'over'-refereeing. Part of the excitement of the game is the controversy, the randomness, that sort of thing. The minute you make every single decision perfect, you lose an entire element of the game. Can you imagine if Matty Taylor v Man Utd was challenged and we had to sit for 5 minutes deciding whether it was a goal or not? An entire moment taken away from you. I get the reasoning, but it's not for me.
  13. That's actually brilliant Hadn't noticed that. It shows how tightly they have these angry blokes by the balls, that every time someone disagrees with them it's now part of the liberal lefty agenda . ****ing mental thinking.
  14. Yeah what @Bristol Rob has said is pretty spot on to be honest mate. I was an early adopter but I'm only slightly up now during this crash - some that I invested in just died a death, whereas my best one I'm up around 10x (although it was far, far higher not so long ago). Just number 1 rule - be prepared to lose it all. Accept that it's a punt, and don't get too annoyed if it does go. There are thousands of cryptocurrencies out there, some are genuine gamechangers that will go up 100x, some are genuine scams, most will fail long-term. It's just filtering through the crap. And also be prepared for your money to be 50% down one day and 50% up the next, it's so volatile. Personally if I was starting, I'd have no problem investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum. They're the 2 leaders and they will always be around, and I'd be stunned if it only ever goes down from here. Only thing is with Bitcoin, everyone thinks of it as digital cash, but in reality it is expensive to send, terrible for the climate, and slow to transfer. So in reality, it's more like digital gold. It's a store of value, not a method of transfer. Outside of that, read some guides and try to understand what some cryptocurrencies are doing, what problem are they trying to fix, and if they are backed by a strong community and ownership. If so, it might be a case for a long-term investment. For example, Monero is a coin that allows you to send money completely privately. Vechain is a coin designed to help the supply-chain. Nano is a coin that mimics cash, free to send and instant. Try to find the coins that you think could genuinely solve a real-world problem, and you might have a case for backing it. This isn't advice, I haven't been reading or keeping up with things for a long long time, but just trying to explain my logic really. Most of this will die a death, but imo there will be those 1 or 2 which genuinely make the world better. If you imagine trying to predict how the Internet would go back in 1995... the skill is trying to paint a picture of what the end looks like. As for NFT's... don't even get me started. Utter madness that, or perhaps it's just something which goes well over my head.
  15. Interestingly wasn't it also a night in Syndicate/SWX/The Works, etc that finally caused their split? I'm sure I remember it being involved somehow.
  16. Considering he's quite voluntarily lead a life in the Ok!/Hello/celeb culture guise, essentially a world full of fakeness and nonsense, I've always thought he's quite a genuine bloke to be fair to him.
  17. To be fair isn't the onus on Coleen to prove that it was Vardy and not anyone else, which might now be very difficult to do? It's easy for the judge to say that it should have been done out of court, but as far as I can tell it's RV who is far and away the worst here. Wasn't it her that actually brought this to court? I might be wrong on that one though. Can't exactly blame CR for defending herself if so. Seems madness to me that RV would go all this way, knowing that it will leak all of this awful crap she's done, what an absolute whopper.
  18. I would just like to make it clear, Rovers probably did deserve it, I don’t want to detract from it. But personally I think Scunthorpe throwing it could be possible, though not necessarily likely.
  19. Shame we can't all be as cultured as Robboblue
  20. If my mate ever sent me that he'd be getting a slap.
  21. I don't think it's clutching at straws at all, it's genuinely quite possible, and they fielded a much, much weaker team. It's certainly suspicious. None of this (at least from me) detracts from Rovers going up. They can only play what's in front of them, and I doubt they were part of it, it's more at Scunthorpe.
  22. I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist and to be honest I don't really care about Rovers going up, I have a few sound sag mates, but it really is looking dodgier by the minute. What is it, 3 players over the age of 20 in that lineup? And a very convenient deal done in January? I hope this gets picked up a bit in the media but I doubt anything will come of it, it's not high profile enough, but I'd be fuming if I were a Northampton fan.
  23. 100% this tbh Sweet Caroline makes me cringe, especially the 'so good, so good...'. Three Lions is great.
