  1. This has escalated into banter and a bit of a history lesson, but Miah is usually alright and pretty self-deprecating (towards the sags of course) on here to be fair ?.
  2. So.... they must be there or thereabouts out of money from the £15m they lent against the 'stadium' now? Does that not make them up some sort of metaphorical creek? EDIT: Ah it seems they've increased their borrowing limit to £17.5m. So with £13m now used (up to last June), they must be pushing that new limit already, and even the value of the Mem would not offset that. Doesn't look sustainable in any way, and without the owner writing off or propping up the finances....
  3. Yeah I'm with you on that one. Walsall fans seem underwhelmed but he'll get them straight back up imo. He can probably take them further than he could ever have taken the sags, and their bitter tears will be beautiful to watch.
  4. I actually forgot about this. You're absolutely right, Steve Hamer (I think) said the lease was up at the end of this season. So as it stands... Rovers currently are unable to sign players until they get their accounts in, and as far as we know are without a training ground.
  5. I had this in my memory as well but it seems we played them 5 times, and won 3 of them, drawing 2.
  6. Maybe we see it differently then. I wouldn't say heavily but I spend a lot of time around Kingswood high street unfortunately and I'd say it's quite prevalent. Maybe it's bad timing?
  7. Can confirm it is at best (from a sag perspective) 50:50 in those two areas. With lots of building in the area I think it's been 'invaded' by reds. In my experience Kingswood is still heavily Rovers to be fair.
  8. No it looks like this is going to only end one way. Really sad this, and banter aside for one second, that must be pretty grim for Warnock and the Cardiff lot too.
  9. Probably deserves a big step up to be fair.
  10. Yeah sensible post I'd agree with most of the above. I can see Cotterill being tempted given he lives in Bristol, but let's not forget he will have earned a decent wedge with his last 3 clubs being City, Forest and Birmingham. Rovers would most likely be unable to compete with those salaries.
  11. Let's not kid ourselves. He did very well at that club. Yes he's on the brink of relegation with them again but they've had naff all investment which ultimately is why he's not there any longer.
  12. Pretty sure we played the exact opposite of this under Cotterill
  13. Robbie Fowler just confirmed on Soccer AM he's applied for the job.
  14. This interview from DC is pretty fascinating to be fair. Says he doesn't believe training ground nor stadium will happen while he is manager. Club is going backwards (in his words), will forever yo-yo between Leagues One and Two while the facilities aren't up to scratch. Needs to sell before he can get a loan or two in.
  15. Yeah not a chance I'd go and see City against any U23's/U21's side, Wembley or not.
  16. Agreed and agreed. This is one of the few things I'll stand by their side on. It's an absolute joke and we're actually not too far away from it affecting us, so we need to look at the bigger picture. I'm all for p*ss taking in every other instance but I'll agree with the sags on this one.
  17. Reading that thread, to be fair swissgas is a very sensible poster.
  18. Twentyman is battering him here fair play. DC needs to sell to buy players Training ground delayed All rumours of takeovers are nonsense Basically confirming what we knew. They haven't got a pot to p*ss in.
  19. Yep exactly. The 'never mind Steve' is great. I bet he's sat at home absolutely gutted with his £1bn+ worth!
  20. Well we can agree to disagree then. I don't see any harm in what she does and if anything it provides us some more insight which we otherwise wouldn't have had. I'm not going to throw my toys out of the pram just because she gave a bit of support to the blue few, as part of her job.
  21. She has to at least act impartial in the interests of professionalism in her role. She has said she's a City fan, she's just doing her job... I'd much rather she posts here and provides the information while being fair to both clubs, than not posting at all because of her personal football club preferences.
