  1. You definitely have a point in that some of the language used has been beyond extreme. The guy has genuinely done a ton of good for City in various different positions at the club, and that shouldn't be forgotten. Even if he hadn't, it's been pretty damn brutal. Can't agree any further than that though. If what has been suggested by those ITK is correct, then the criticism is completely justified. It should probably be delivered with a little less hate though.
  2. Not happy. Believe it or not that are more alternate models aside from Watford.
  3. Either we know the same person or this is weirdly common on Facebook. Not sure why anyone would ever do that.
  4. I've been trying to avoid this thread a little while to avoid the hysteria, but nothing has really calmed down. Again like before, it's not really anger on my side, more apathy. Apathy knowing that we will likely tread water in the middle of the Championship for another 10 years, barring the odd flirt with relegation, unless something changes. And let's face it, that position for a club of our size isn't that bad, but it is frustrating when it's seemingly some shoddy mismanagement holding us back. Based on what others have said, it seems we have a very... distinct shall we say, corporate and management setup. I've said it before and I'll say it again, shell out some money on getting 3 experts into the correct roles, and actually listen to them and actually empower them, and I guarantee the owners will get a much better return on their investment. A manager who knows what he's doing (at one point we had one of those!), a proper COO or CEO who can run the club appropriately (we also had one of those!), and then another head of the academy and/or player recruitment - not just jobs for mates or pretending roles no longer exist. And to be completely fair and transparent here, I think Tins has proven that he would be a solid shout for that third academy/recruitment job. But only that third job. I didn't listen admittedly but I've got the vibe from this thread. Just pure apathy now, waiting until something changes, whatever that may be.
  5. That's next on the list for us, so glad to hear you had a good one. There are some decent places down that road - the Thali has some great midweek deals and the Garden of Easton is a lovely place to be in.
  6. 100% this also actually. Particularly vs the Schumacher days for example. It's another degree of jeopardy that has been largely removed.
  7. I'd imagine the most likely explanation is that the Red Bull engine for 2026 isn't looking good, but who knows! Definitely a mad one.
  8. Exactly. I've made this point before - it's one thing to have an utterly dominant team. It's way worse when the teammate is too poor to even compete, but even worse than that again is when said dominant team is known for strongly favouring one car. Just sucks any slight possibility of entertainment out of it all.
  9. Problem is, it works! Particularly for insurance - music in an ad ingrains it more deeply into your memory, and in an industry which is already very saturated, they're desperate for their brand awareness to be higher than others. Very ****ing annoying though.
  10. In all seriousness, I like the idea but intrigued to know what role you would be thinking? Outside of a DoF or a second coach what role exists at that level?
  11. A few more leaks have come out... he's toast.
  12. Someone really wants him gone.
  13. Have to say it's only Yard Act tempting me on that undercard (incidentally they're at Rough Trade all day tomorrow) - might have to give a few others a listen. LCD is a top five always wanted to see band though so that saves it.
  14. Definitely this, but also make sure to go to the machines and pre-pay for your ticket before going into the gig. Nothing worse than leaving and coming back to a queue of 40 people at the ticket machines, before having to queue behind another 30 cars to get out.
  15. Much better act than those at BS3 Live (Laugh Love).
  16. In true fashion of disagreeing with literally everything Robbored says, I actually went to Mowgli the other night and it was really good! Some of the best starters I've ever had at an Indian restaurant and some interesting different choices there too - none of your usual Korma's and the like. The idea of an Indian bunnychow is a really good one. Can't believe the food was cooked in a kitchen though, false advertising that
  17. Great stuff. Defo doing both days of LSTD and Forwards now then, finishing with the best. Always wanted to see LCD, over the moon with that one.
  18. Oowee is great for a dirty burger (the vegan ones are ****ing great) but top 6 restaurant in Bristol? Really? Edit: Oh I see it's specifically in the burger category, fair enough.
  19. If you're in the area 1st September I think you're going to be in luck... (I wonder if we should have a general Bristol gigs / festivals thread..?).
  20. You'd be surprised, a lot of the plant-based stuff is great (there's a fair amount of horrible stuff too mind, but it's loads better than it used to be). I'd be wary about using too many 'ultra-processed' alternatives though, the amount of shite that goes into these things to make them mimic real stuff is insane and only recently really coming to light. In isolation though great stuff and glad it's clearly worked for you
  21. Sold out already?! ****ing hell, would have been a perfect gift.
  22. I'm not even sure sniffer dogs can smell coke - the amount of them at festivals and everyone just flies through. And ultimately that's what they're going to be looking for surely.
  23. 100% agree. The size of the cars these days is a huge issue. I was watching 1997 highlights the other day and the cars look tiny!
  24. It's all an attempt to save weight. These days they struggle to get the weight down (previously they would be under the minimum weight), so reducing the amount of paint used helps with that.
