  1. Is the location of supporters really the most important thing needing discussion at the moment?
  2. About 10 academy players that could be close to playing in the team one day. Obviously a huge exaggeration but wouldn't that be nice.
  3. This is shocking. Couple of nervy moments for him but JL is doing alright so far to his credit.
  4. I still have absolutely no idea what the fack was meant in that last one.
  5. Gentleman's Dub Club are always great, never did catch Caravan Palace though - I'm not sure it's quite what most people on this forum are into but Boomtown often has some great and quirky acts.
  6. Pretty much a year and a half out now isn't it? Poor lad.
  7. Yeah Oas-Is are good fun, always a good atmosphere when they have so many well-known songs. I loved Supersonic last time I went but I'm a big fan of the Roses and some of the 90's Britpop stuff. It's been a few years though.
  8. Sounds like thousands if not more were sold via this trick, it's a complete joke to be honest. Sounds like they've fixed things for next time but it's something that has been there for years, just a lot more widely known this time around.
  9. Yeah they're pretty fun to watch. They're playing a couple of nights at the Fleece in December, one of them followed by Supersonic which is a really good club night if you're into 90s guitar stuff.
  10. Love a good tribute band. The Smyths are really decent and always about. Also The Clone Roses.
  11. God this is hard, too many to remember and I'm definitely going to miss someone out. Blur - Glasto Tame Impala - Glasto Stone Roses - Wembley/Etihad Wolf Alice - Bendigo Khruangbin - Melbourne Arctic Monkeys - Melbourne Kasabian - Bristol O2
  12. I'm no legal expert but from I've read, an involuntary charge would only be possible if he intended to kill or cause GBH. Even if he intended to hurt him, it doesn't necessarily constitute GBH.
  13. For one, all that shows is the VIP areas above the garages being quite full, you can't really see how busy the grandstand is at all, so not sure what you're trying to prove there. And secondly, I merely said there are warning signs, mainly because the planning and preparation for some of this has been an absolute farce. When you have drivers racing in single-degree temperatures at 3.30am in the name of money then something has gone wrong. Not to mention the constant mad rush of opening and closing the track which has now meant that paying fans miss out on half the action of the first day and will probably not get any money back. I'd love a great race this weekend more than ever but Liberty are not immune to criticism and it's pretty odd that you're so defensive over one little weekend preview.
  14. All I wrote was 'their big unveiling of the drivers yesterday was in front of basically empty grandstands'. You called it 'bs'. I prove you wrong. Why do you then go on and pretend I was making a completely different point? How strange .
  15. Well done lad, no luck here this time around. Onward to Sunday.
  16. Race still on but things aren't looking great at this stage. We all know F1 has historically failed to 'crack' America, but since the success of the Austin GP this feels like a real attempt by Liberty to create a flagship event here that will finally overcome that and be a fixture for years to come. But there are warning signs so far that it's not going particularly great, and not just because a manhole cover broke. The track itself looks dull at best, the temperatures are looking cold almost to a point of negligence by those planning it. Previously sky-high tickets and hotel rooms are all coming down in price, their big unveiling of the drivers yesterday was in front of basically empty grandstands, and all the while the casino's are only in because they've been persuaded that they will make more money, but at this rate it's not looking all that likely. Fingers crossed the mad temperatures spice up the racing a little bit.
  17. @CheddarReds are you guys under 35 by any chance? If so things should be very easy for you guys to get a 417 Working Holiday Visa, and you won't need to do any farm work. Happy to go into more detail if you like, but if you're over 35 things could be a little bit trickier.
  18. It's not irrelevant to the type of charge he'd get though, that was part of my point.
  19. Oh no I understand that, it's just as KITR referenced above, loads of people have been calling for it on Twitter, being the madhouse that it is.
  20. I find it hard, or pretty much impossible to believe that it's full on murder. You'd have to be either insanely 'lucky' that that particular scenario came up or incredibly opportunistic. But then it's down to whether he meant to hurt the player, and if he did, how much did he mean to hurt him. And when I say that, the intent doesn't necessarily have to be particularly brutal - football players intend to hurt each other every match. If there was intent, did he mean to hurt him? Probably. Did he mean to injure him so he couldn't continue? Maybe. But then actually killing him... I'm quite clearly no legal expert but I have no idea how you even go about proving that he meant to cause any harm at all and even if you do manage that, measuring the level to which he intended it.
  21. Horrendous, really sorry to hear. A friend of mine went missing in the sea 3 years ago and has never been found, it's not nice, very brutal.
  22. If they're solely working on social media they're probably paid sod all to be honest.
