I queued for ages twice last season for the portaloos before discovering near empty loos at the back of the stand....You may well have a united side and probably today you deserved a narrow win. But what is embarrassing is a grand total of 4,yes just 4 porta-loos in the open end. How ridiculous is that!

Judging from post match comments from SC and Wilbs, some Swindle players have been absolute cocks, a cheat, another trying to wind up City fans up at the end and in the tunnel after the game. Could become the new gas.
Anyone know who the Swindon player was? Couldn't see his number and I don't know any of their players to recognise him, but I do feel like turning back and waiting for the**** to get in his car. He was tough as **** when he knew there was no chance anyone would have vaulted the barriers to chin him

They get caught in your bicycle chain too.
Where's a rotten tomato when you need one....

I don't agree with the flares - adds nothing to an atmosphere IMO and never worth the risk of a banFighting outside the ground and throwing flares on the pitch.

Quality not quantity - we will win

Just to buck the trend slightly, I for one will be popping the champagne corks when Rovers move into their new stadium outside of the City if Bristol, as we will finally be rid of them for good.
I can't wait.

9,632 posts. That's 9,600 of utter rubbish and 32 good points. Well done
One Team in Bristol! Again! I wonder if you lot will be as bitter towards your new rivals Cheltenham Town as you were with us?

Frederick,
why do you always go on about the intelligence/lack of intelligence of gasheads??? I find it a bit strange really.. Being a gashead but living in south Bristol I would say there is very little in it to be fair...
Unless of course you are hyper intelligent like??? 15-1/countdown/krypton factor contestant???
UTG, Prowed to be a gashead

Maybe he has seen the light
Or maybe he is always trying to wind City fans up, bizarrely by pretending to be a City fan, but forgets that people have memories of his previous posts where he has revealed his/her self as a gashead? They just ain't clever enough to pull it off.

Reading some of the comments on this thread --- I am bitterly disappointed some of you are so ******g jealous of what Rovers have achieved. I am one of the few that attend both grounds and in my honest opinion Rovers have had to put up with more shit than City over the 50+ years I have been watching. For gods sake it can only be for the good of Bristol they have won this battle and now hopefully Lansdown will get his act together and do likewise.
And for those fans that think having the Rugby sharing their facilities is a good thing well I can tell you it ain't.
Looking at your historical posts you are a gashead, so why do you describe Rovers as "they"?
-
I have no over inflated view of the gas, maybe a higher one than you though.
Its you lot with the big club is it not?? massive
Correct, we do have a massive club when compared to Rovers. Our attendances alone are twice the size of yours and our dumbed down version of the stadium redevelopment will still leave us with a capacity of 5,000 more than your bowl.
You lot are having your moment in the sun because you won your JR, but, as has been previously mentioned, we do not have problem with your new stadium (personally I think it is dull and uninspiring), we have a problem more so that you managed to win your JR and ours is still so deep in the legal mire that it would be years before we could even imagine getting to Rovers' build stage at AV.
Whilst I liked the design of AV, things have a way of turning out for the best and City staying at AG is actually very pleasing and satisfies most City fans as we are staying at our home for 110+ years. So any gloating from you lot should really come with a warning: we will have a revamped AV and my gut feel is that our worm is beginning to turn after five years of decline. So if you apply some objective thought to the process, whilst Rovers will see a spike in attendances and this will probably breed some relative success for them as well, City will also be going through a similar scenario, but with the structure already in place and the backing of a billionaire. Have a think about it, Pepsi, and there is little to actually gloat about. Most Rovers fans I know are too thick to see this, but maybe you could surprise us?

I prefer the reality, which will be Bristol City of League One. It is the equivalent of the real Barcelona playing in League Two in terms of size and status though, I'm sure you'll agree.Dont worry Fred, you too can become the new Barca of L2 next season....
Good luck in your quest to avoid relegation to non-league football. Yet again you deluded lot got your wild predictions of promotion, overtaking City and dominating the world horribly, horribly wrong. Much to our continued amusement.

Not really surprising is it...
"Nobody will talk of bristol rovers anymore"..
That didnt really go to plan did it???
I believe that nobody would talk of Bristol Rovers anymore primarily because you'd renamed yourselves Barcelona of League Two. Ironically that didn't go to plan either.

Well he's stood for that shit in nearly every performance since he has been here.... I don't expect any change.
I disagree. There has been a massive change in effort and application from the players since SC took over from SO'D, in my opinion, but he can't completely change the negative streak that runs through this club overnight so there will still be performances like yesterday's shambles more often than we'd like.
-
Cringed as soon as I hear him say that. Anyone who calls themselves a "winner" makes me cringe. On par with saying "I never make mistakes".
He's becoming more and more like David Brent by the week
It may be easy to deride Cotterill over his 'I'm a winner' comment, but the message he was giving out was 'I ain't standing for that shit from one of my teams', which is actually quite refreshing to hear from a manager in this day and age. He looked genuinely angry at what he'd witnessed, which is no different from any of us who travelled up there and how we all felt watching it.
Whether he has the capability or the right mentality in his squad to avoid such an abject performance from happening again is questionable though.
-
Their pitch has been ruined by the weather so they have had quite a few games postponed.Whats happening at Crawley - they have 5 games in hand on the rest of most the league.
-
Anyone help with this?
Yes - no need for any equations as it is simply just funny and in no way sad. Very, very, very funny in fact!!
If they weren't such a bunch of ***** about our new stadium attempts then maybe they would have some more sympathy from us. Actually that would have been unlikely.
For all you gas reading this - remind yourselves of how sanctimonious (too big a word for them?...) you lot were when you thought you got your new stadium and how you were going to be Champions League before you knew it and then understand why most City fans find this news hilarious!!

I see they seem to think SL is possibly behind this. I can't see that SL would have anything to do with this for 2 reasons.
1. It has no bearing on Bristol sport or the ongoing debacle re AV.
2. Should the AV town green decision go our way, it would be rather silly of our owner to seriously piss Sainsburys off when they are planning to build on the AG site forming a fair old chunk of the funding for AV.
I can't see it being SL, what would his motivation be?
It is not SL, I can guarantee you that. It was the mention that the person behind the JR is wealthy that sparked the paranoia from that lot that 'Pantsdown', as they so humorously like to call him, was that person.
They are weird.
-
I, for one, hope it is City behind it.
So R*vers fans openly and actively attempt to highjack City's desired move and that is all fair game of which they are proud. Then with no claims from us or a shred of evidence you have outrage from people like you've quoted.
What is it with these dillussional, self-pitying hypocrites? Also, self-profiteering from areas of extreme, iconic value such as war memorials built in honour of Bristol's sacrificed is in every way wrong but try explaining this to the dillussional blue few. It will be them, happily condoning such actions and you with a bollocking about attempting to take moral high ground.
Un-#####-ing believable this lot, honestly. They're as a shitty little football club as their supporter base deserves, long may it continue!
I took the liberty of browsing their forum this morning and the vitriol and bile directed towards us is just incredible. It is so OTT that it is comedy gold!
We seem to have got right under their skin and yet their own evidence suggests the JR is absolutely nothing to do with us! What a bizarre bunch of simpletons.
-
It's a conspiracy and that pesky 'sheed', Lansdown, is behind it! I just know it! A conspiracy, I tell thee!
-
Since you seem to know about these things...
Does the name/address of the person who submitted this become available at any point?
Also, would I be correct in saying this does not mean a JR will actually happen, just that they have applied for one?
I can definitely confirm that we are laughing at you!!
-
Why should I, oh moral crusader, when I didn't make the initial comparison? Why not set up a poll or something? Not from me, my lover. I disassociate myself from that rubbish. Would you like to make clear that that you don't see Glitter and Holloway in the same light?
Let us get back on track - Holloway is as anti-City as they come, so I wish him nothing but failure.
-
I see plenty of references to Swansea City (Wales' first Premier League team) fans as gypsies, so take your moral crusade elsewhere.Amazed your Mods allowed tbh.

We may have lost the battle today but we have definitely won the war: we got to return to Bristol, they have to stay there.
