Maybe something to do with his lamentable response to it?
I presume you think the performance of the Chief Medical and Chief Scientist are lamentable too? As that's where Boris is getting his advice from.

Lamentable in your opinion. Not in mine. There is no modern precedent for tackling a crises such as this, and I'm happy with the government's performance so far.

You think his record in public office has been acceptable?
What has that got to with COVID-19?

They like to do things on the cheap though, don't they ?
Perhaps their thinking is that they can screw contractors down even more under this present climate (once we have hit the bottom, construction may be slow to recover)
They weren't a viable entity before COVID-19, god knows who they are like now.

Odd thing to do at a dormant company unless it is about to become not a dormant company.
Preparation for building on the training ground or the stadium maybe?

Admired players: Marcus Stewart. Great shame that it didn't work out.
Going back a bit: Gary Mabbutt, Nigel Martyn, John Scales and presumably Geoff Bradford though that last is just a name to me.
Be hard to prepare for any building on the training ground or stadium is the current climate, no? Anyone would be mad to be be pushing ahead with substantial construction projects given that no-one is playing and we don't know when/if teams will be playing in the future.

Told my 13 year old exactly this last night. He will tell his kids about this.

The postponements will go on much longer than April 3rd I suspect, leading to a situation where sadly, the entire season will probably have to be written off.
On a more positive note, we are about to enter an international break, which will result in less postponements, so if the season can be restarted at some point, there will be a bit less catchup.
As I understand it, if a flight is cancelled, the airline has to refund your money, but if the football season is cancelled, the clubs get to keep your season ticket money
A few clubs are teetering close to extinction and I think a number could go under as a result of this. Whatever the financial outcomes though, the most important thing is keeping people safe.
On the virus itself, an Iranian scientist claims that there is evidence that it has been created in a laboratory and could not have been created naturally. He seems to think that in time and with further analysis. this is going to be proven.
Leak from a Chinese laboratory is something that has been doing the rounds for a few weeks now.

If you want to watch City again this season I suggest you go to Blackburn. Only a matter of days until sporting events are cancelled IMO.

Not that I give a damn, but something seriously wrong over there. Cockman jumped ship at the first chance, despite being 4th and having just beaten Ipswich, and since then they couldn't win a one-man race. Long may it continue.

Below 5,500 I'm pretty sure.

MK Dons away for the Slags next, no doubt they'll beat the 5,000 we took on our last visit.

Typical sag resting after a hard day of shoplifting - he's still got the price tag on his crappy trousers!
Peas with fried egg as well - needs to try harder when nicking food and choose a better supermarket.
Sainsbury's perhaps?
This sad **** has taken the time to go through a bag of Alphabet potatoes pick out those letters and then cook them all for a 'pun'. What a cretin. I hope he choked on those sausages.

Surely that's the same for every other club in the country?

They'll get an extension in my opinion.

What a sheister Wally is. He is a habitual liar. Filling them full of shite about being in a stadium in two years. Even if they are he and his family won't be in charge. Total charlatan.

I seem to recall Radio Bristol adding fuel to the 'massive support' BS the best part of 30 years ago - Colin Howlett would report live from whichever ground they were at that weekend and tell everyone there were thousands of Rovers fans on the away terrace, yet when you watched the highlights on HTV News on the Monday evening there were about three people in it.
Exactly how I remember it.

8343 today, good luck with that 10k average for the rest of the season saggies.
Terrible. Charlton must have brought close to a 1000?

Has Clarke died? The way the slags are eulogising him it makes me think he's kicked the bucket. Talk about an overreaction. Clarke: started his managerial career at the Slags with a relegation and is going to end with one.
