    Thanks @ExiledAjax

My understanding of the money going from City, Bears etc is that before Bristol Sport was created, the non football employees of Bristol City FC, ground staff, refreshments, ticket sales etc. were workers for the Club and paid by them. But that since B Sport they are employed by BS. Thus City, Bears, City Women, pay a share of their wages.

EFL would not consider our accounts valid if we didn't pay any of the non football wages.

The Bristol Sport Ltd accounts say that nobody is employed by the company.

So called 5,500 and going at record pace 😂 honestly that's hilarious

Where's that come from? If it was record numbers/pace, I'd expect to see it mentioned on the website/social media.

It says we want to be a Cat 1 academy but both Jon Lansdown and Tinnion have said we haven’t. They just get a consistent message on anything.

    I read that differently.

"The academy is graded category two by the Football Association but Challis says they strive towards a "category one performance"."

I took as meaning the club aim to hit Category One performance levels without needing to have the Category One certificate on the wall in the same way that  I can aim to rustle up a Michelin standard meal tonight but I don't need the sign at the door to hit that standard.

The colours haven't been changed 🤦

    Utter mistruth.

The Union flag has consistent colours. The representation in the Conservative logo has varying shades of red and blue as white being given a blue tinge.

It's less of a content issue here though really I guess. In many cases app and website will pull from the same content database - but the issue here is the presentation of the content.

The site seems to be running WordPress which is widely used and decent for particular sites, but ultimately the template is pretty shite with a not so user friendly UI. I'm fairly certain clubs across the FL have always used the same provider / operator, presumably for contractual reasons.

The EFL Digital network of sites do share a common platform but, as a club, we have opted out and done our own thing.

  6. PL Statement:

    Quote

The Premier League has today referred Leicester City FC to an independent Commission for an alleged breach of Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSRs) and for failing to submit their audited financial accounts to the League.

The alleged breach relates to the assessment period ending Season 2022/23, when the club was a member of the Premier League.

Leicester City were relegated to the EFL Championship prior to the introduction of the Premier League’s new Standard Directions, which prescribe a timeline within which PSR cases should be heard. Therefore, the proceedings will be conducted in accordance with a timetable to be set by the independent Commission, and its final decision will be published on the Premier League’s website.

    I’ve just had an email from the club ;

Don't miss out! Renew your 2024/25 Bristol City Season Ticket today for a chance to win it absolutely FREE! All supporters that renew up to the end of today will be entered into this exclusive Prize Draw

Maybe sales aren’t progressing as they hoped. No surprise if so.

Not sure there's anything in that - the prize draw was announced with the price reveal.

These emails will have been scheduled in regardless of whether they've sold 1, 92 or 7000 by this point.

  8. LM quotes from the Post:

“I believe in the lads. It’s a bit of belief, a bit of edge, a bit of arrogance that will change it. We’ve won games already against teams at the top end of the table, so we’ve shown we can do it and we showed today and against Ipswich, for 90 per cent of the game, we’re as good if not better than the opposition. It’s now making sure when you’re on top, and you get your opportunities in key stages of the game that you get what you deserve.”

“I can’t control what the fans think. For me, it’s around sticking together. If players stepped onto the pitch and showed no idea of what they’re trying to do, no plan, no identity, no way of working… then by all means (criticise).

“I don’t waste on energy on it, to be honest, I can control what I can control. I turn up and do my best every day, that’s it, the staff give the players everything, we’re in at 7, we finish at 7 - I think you can see the plan out on the pitch, what we do need is people to step up at key times and that’s the bit we’ll work hard to change and I don’t worry too much about outcomes, I’ve never chased outcomes.

"For me, I concentrate on doing the best job every day. I know the work we do is good, it’s about making sure we get the players in position where they’re making sure they can do it for 100 per cent of the game and not 90.”

i subscribe to the annual package, so not having games available (without prior warning)  should mean a refund.

if you buy a car and they take one of the wheels away, you'd expect recompense.

The non-availability of games selected for international broadcast was highlighted in the information put out at the start of the season and is included within the Terms and Conditions.

It was your choice to purchase based on the published details and Terms and Conditions so I don't see why any reasonable person would expect a refund.

I’m not quoting from anywhere - it was the reason I was given by the late Colin Sextone when I was directly involved in the SC&T.

Granted - that was a few years ago but doubt that A&S police have not moved the goalposts since. I can only assume that cup games must be exempt - that said if City drew either Welsh clubs they’d be allocated the entire Atyeo Stand.

None of that makes any sense when you live in reality.

In one of the only spare weeks where Manning was able to put on several sessions to get his ideas across.

So we spend a morning peeing about with a team photo.........and then play sh*te against Cardiff.

Good use of your time that, Liam.

It was in the afternoon. 😉

It appears as though Cornick still had his moustache in this photo.
When did he shave it off, was it prior to the Shef Weds game?
This photo was not taken in the last few days, maybe even the last couple of weeks.
Which makes it even more odd as to why now?

It was taken on February 27th.

The media team must know Brian Tinnion - they clearly thought it was fine for him to go on a live radio show despite his apparent inability to avoid sharing his unfiltered thoughts.

Would be interesting to know who approves/arranges media activity at present.

Dave Barton has been moved "upstairs" to Bristol Sport leaving what would appear to be quite a youthful media team at the club itself. Perhaps DB is still filling the role while his replacement is recruited?
