Don’t worry about posts like this mate. Everyone moans about the dominance of the Premier League and then we treat smaller clubs trying to simply survive like this. I’ll be at Preston, but I’ll be sure to come and support the Bluebells soon if season ticket holders get a discount.

I'm not worried about it. But it was addressed to Rovers season ticket holders originally.

Think you will find there is something on your Bristol sport account(Communication preferences) about what information you receive especially all across Bristol sport organisation football basketball rugby etc etc You can tick these off by clicking on update preferences Not sure if thats anything to do with it.

To receive information off west ham is a strange one.

It's not from West Ham, but from QEOP.

I think it's a bit early to be pointing fingers at Bristol Sport unless there starts to be a wider group receiving these unexpectedly. I've received nothing myself.

How is he not banned for life, absolutely crazy

Surely he will also be looking at a criminal conviction now too?

From the FA's written reasons document:

"Complainant A and Complainant B were asked whether they wished to report the matter to the police and stated that they did not. However, due to the incident taking place abroad, the UK authorities would have had no jurisdiction over the incident in any event."

  5. Pretty grim reading when you look at the details of the case.

    Quote

    5. In June 2023, DS travelled with a cohort of coaches who were all taking part in a course. The course participants included Complainant A and Complainant B.

    ...

    7. Complainant A states that at some point after arriving at the bar, DS approached her and pulled her towards him. DS then proceeded to put his left arm around the back of her right shoulder and put his other hand down the front of her shorts. He placed his hand inside of her shorts “roughly up to the palm of his hand” so that his fingers were also inside her shorts.

    8. Complainant A pushed DS’s arm away and said, “what the **** are you doing?”. DS responded by putting one hand on Complainant A’s back and the other on her arm and said, “you’re ******* coming back to my room”. Complainant A responded by saying “No I’m ******* not” and removed his arms from hers.

    ...

    11. As Complainant A stood up to leave, she saw DS “grab hold of” Complainant B and place his arms around her. Complainant B describes this same incident. She said she felt someone’s hands come from behind her, rest upon her chest and place one hand on each of her breasts. She turned around and saw that it was DS; his face was very close to hers and he said words to the effect of “you’re coming back to mine tonight”. Complainant B walked away from DS, and followed Complainant A who she spotted leaving the bar.

Pathway been blocked or not reached level expected of them

But you said it said something about the "academy and pathway". Now it may be something about the individual themselves?

Not sure the fact that not 100% of academy players will make it to the first team is a revelation. Not a single academy on the planet will achieve that.

  7. Evidence that replay tickets don't have to be the same as replay tickets...

Not sure why it's a pastime to make mythical FA Cup rules - the one about the away team still having to agree the pricing will loiter forever...

Onana clearly does make routine saves for Ajax, Inter Milan and Man Utd.

The point was distribution is fundamental to a keepers game. It is primary at some clubs.

I never said he has failed to make a routine save in his life. You made it about distribution. However, you are so obviously the oracle and I bow to your superiority on the forum.

Keeper primary roles are based upon hands and feet. Coaching courses teach us two thirds of a keepers game is played with the feet. For a team attempting to play like Man Utd that 66% is increased. The signing of Onana was primarily to improve Man U ability to play  out, for Onana to join in and for a CB to join in to midfield forming a trendy box midfield and Man U to  play in 3-5-2, 3-4-3, 2-3-5 shapes etc in possession with the GK having a role in building possession.

These tactics have proved problematic for two Keepers of International class. A reasonable observer could think the keeper playing as a auxiliary CB, and bounce passes being made wide into central midfield (Brighton like with differing verticality) are too complex for Man U's players and their keeper.

And which bit of that addresses him failing to make what would be routine saves in the National League?

Onana's abilty with his feet is high, very high, Onana is struggling with Man U's build up play and so did De Gea. It could be that its Man U's tactics, the complex build up play that is fundamentally problematic for Man Utd.

Not sure how tactics affect his ability to use his hands to fulfil what any reasonable observer would to be his primary objective of stopping the ball entering the net.

West Ham have already starting selling tickets for the replay. Would seem strange to do this without a confirmed date.

They do say: "The Irons will travel to Ashton Gate on Tuesday 16 January, for a 7.45pm GMT kick-off, subject to TV broadcast selections, with tickets going on sale from Monday." so they're clearly stating it's not a confirmed date.

Ah, thanks. Not quite where we were looking!

Can you answer the other thing that puzzled us yesterday? How the f—- do the people sat behind the massive scoreboard see anything?!

I suspect there’s something to do with perspective, and how it looks from where we were. But it looked like there’d be some seats with ‘restricted view’ meaning no view at all!!

I'm guessing there must be a bit of a void between the big screen and the first row of seats there but I'm not too sure! I've been to the LS a hell of a lot from the Olympics onwards but never really paid much attention to what's behind the big screens. Next time...
