  1. Billie Piper, Melinda Messsenger, Mark Lamarr……..it’s a cultural hotbed
  2. This application is the only official plans there have been but even the original illustrative images had a linked bridge to the lansdown. The main intention being access to the suites in the upper lansdown as there won’t be much other facilities along the side of the arena. Although the arena will have a relatively small concourse, they could of course open up the lansdown concourse for concerts/live events
  3. There will be a bridge linking the lansdown to the hotel/SCC so that facilities can be shared
  4. I believe this is the issue with an AG station. As much as a station there would be feasible if/when the line opens up for commuter trains, the applicants (SL) were advised the station would have to be shut on football/rugby games due to over capacity…..bonkers! SL can’t really do anything. All he can do is push the council/network rail to invest/support a larger station there which we may or may not get in 5/10/15/20 years
  5. Although working from home has proved doable, once full restrictions are lifted, office based workers will start returning to offices en masse although with many negotiating 1/2 days working from home.
  6. For those of you interested, full planning application now in with BCC https://pa.bristol.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=QUDIACDNHQI00&activeTab=summary
  7. Yea but that won’t cut it......
  8. Wow....you’ve based that critique on 1 start and 2 sub appearances. Hardly fair for a young players first couple of outings in the championship.....what were you expecting, a messi-like impact?
  9. On the Barton out thread in gaschat “I often wonder if some of these postings are done by a few city fans, trying to drop a bit of ear poisen in just to sit back and watch the fireworks. If somebody says something a little provocative just reply back with "ok" and just keep repeating, when the troll realises hes not going to be fed he'll just move on, if enough of us do it they end up moving on altogether.”
  10. Rovers fans loitering around caravans....how ironic
  11. Sing along..........2-0 up, 3-2 down.....joey Barton is a clown
  12. Both new managers put thank you messages out on Twitter the other day, check the comments / re-tweets / likes.....about 1:3 in Nigel’s favour I would say that ties-in very nicely with the club’s fanbase ratio
  13. Three times once he hits the clink showers ?
  14. neilv93 said: theduke said: This is a family club. Always has been, always should be. I’d much rather hold onto that identity than a League One status. Joey Barton should not even be under consideration. This 'family club' racially abused a Dartford goalkeeper and punched a police horse. Not sure what moral high-horse you're sitting on that makes you believe we're any better or different from other clubs but we're the same as everyone else. And? Just because we have a fringe element of absolute losers that follow us doesn't mean that we're not a community club at heart. Don't give me that old pony about our club being the same as everybody else's. Our community trust has done outstanding work to ensure that this club remains accessible to its fanbase. If you think otherwise go and compare the work we do in the community to that of those in the Premier League, or even the Championship.
  15. “Blokes ****ing clueless. With every passing post match interview the urge to let his tyres down grows.” ?
  16. Ark at this belter mind..... Iliveinbidefordgas First Team 22 minutes ago purdownpoacher1 likes thisQuote He could end up never managed rovers with any fans in ground ? Would he be first ?
  17. What’s all the 1’s under the trophies....the furthest round they’ve got to in each cup?
  18. So they scored a goal.....whoopee friggin doo
  19. Well yes, thems the rules and have been for weeks and there is every likelihood that as soon as rules are relaxed, numbers will go up again if people aren’t sensible. but nothing announced today has an impact on Boxing Day in Bristol
  20. Bristol just reverts to tier 2 Boxing Day so carry on as normal (as long as Wycombe allowed to travel)
  21. Your thinking is so 1980s. As a born and bred Kingswood boy and now a resident of north Bristol for the past 14 years, I can absolutely assure you there are as many city in these areas as there are rovers. As for unhygienic, I’ll have you know I change my underwear at least once a week
  22. Was a good Friday/Saturday night there 20 years ago but astonished the place is still going
  23. It’s ridiculous really considering they pulled Bristol/south glos and North Somerset together as a region when initially deciding on tiers as they are so intrinsically linked yet have now decided large chunks of suburban Bristol remain in tier 3! perfect example is my old stomping ground, Kingswood. The black horse pub sits right on the boundary line and can now open up but a bloke living in a flat across the road cant go for a pie and a pint as he would be travelling across a tier!
