  1. “However win lose or draw Rovers are painful to watch at the moment and I can see attendances dropping rapidly if we have to endure this dross.” So, how does this fit in with the “loyal and true” mantra?
  2. Well, you only took 1500 last season so what “gas logic” makes you think you’ll double that figure this year?
  3. Ah, dopey darrell’s favourite pastime
  4. Christ, have you got any welsh in you? That would be the full set!
  5. Balloon fiesta.....second biggest canvas event after a Saturday afternoon at the mem
  6. I can see another classic episode.....”I’ve been through the thatcher years, divorce....but this is heartbreaking, they took they’re eye off the ball, all about the new cabbage bowl...they forgot about the team”
  7. Yes, regeneration but not of the football stadium type. The council plans include housing, student flats and light industrial. As for the original arena, The money was already in place and budgeted, the initial delay was due to the rising construction cost due to the council, well Marvin, dragging his feet. The arena construction company offered to build it at a fixed price but Marv had already fell into the Malaysian money pit. They have offered to pay for it and of course taken the ongoing profits but not before Bristol/south glos pay for the £100 million infrastructure required. Not such a good deal then.
  8. I’ll remind you of a recent scheme that gained planning permission, funded by a billionaire that was to be built on an ex landfill site on the edge of town that only semi affected a couple of dozen houses which ultimately failed. as I said before, even with funding and council backing....they’re biggest battles will be third party objectors on various counts. temple meads close by didn’t help the original arena scheme
  9. We are talking about two different sites albeit the Arena island and fruit market sites are close. The problem with the arena site was that there was one road in/out and next to no parking provision although plenty of central parking within a 10/15 minute walk. the problem with the fruit market site is general access and infrastructure for a football stadium in an area that is planned and already being developed as housing/commercial. the sags seem to suggest the council are “on board” yet seem to forget that the council has never turned down any previous stadium application. They have fallen through usually because they have been pie in the sky, no finance and/or third party objectors.....the latter sounding like their biggest issue this time round. thats assuming the latest “saviours” are real/have the right intentions
  10. Well, they are partial to flooding their pitch when it suits
  11. Which just about sums your sad little lot out.......you have nothing on us so can only resort to playground name-calling. carry on mate, call us what you like.....but you know deep down you are all jealous to the pit of your stomach, desperate to be “better than the shit”......it’s been the same for 30 years.
  12. Sorry to be a pedant myself but the brabazon hangers planned to be an arena is within the city of Bristol boundaries
  13. Just like space travel........”it takes time”
  14. Just to put some balance on this blinkered bullcrap........ http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bristol_rovers/813567.stm https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/1363159.thugs-baseball-attack-on-town-fans/

  20. Let’s just break that down..... history.....none to speak of, a perennial lower league club silverware......league one title over 30 years ago recent history.....a non league club not long ago and two promotions to get to the bottom half of league one stadium.....accepted, even by most of their own fans, as one of the worst grounds in the country facilities......none. No proper training facilities, currently training in a park support.....regardless of their own delusion, have only hit over 10,000 a handful of times in decades. Currently averaging about 8,000 ownership..... fake sheik who has little to no available money to invest, losing thousands every week, only asset tied in to club debt Potential.......trying to compete with a city rival that is an established championship club pushing for the prem, owned by a “real” billionaire fan who has provided a 27,000 stadium, good performing academy, soon to be prem standard trading facilities, sanctioning multi-million pound transfers in conjunction with record season ticket sales and home attendances of nearly 22,000 So Mr Davies.....please feel free to qualify your statement of “the size of the club”
  21. Can you see where I'm going with this......? ?
  22. EP reporting that Rovers have lost their front of shirt sponsor, Football Index, for 2019/2020. "As it is, they have now opted to sponsor Nottingham Forest, and Neil Kelly, CEO of Football Index's parent company BetIndex, was pleased to confirm the deal. He said: “We’re thrilled to have Football Index front and centre on the new Nottingham Forest kit - a club steeped in history with an expansive and proud fanbase." Unlike the rabble you were sponsoring last season clearly?
