You didn't feel in the slightest bit excited during the last World Cup..?
Bloody Southgate - achieving more/better progress in more tournaments, than any other previous manager...!
I cam agree than all the crappie, meaningless fixtures are an utter waste of time & space, other than game time - but the tournaments still become special & we have been involved in more of them, for longer, under Southgate than under any other manager has ever managed.
No. Given the players at his disposal I think a coach that was more astute could have won both competitions. We led both games, the semi and the final and lost both. I know I'm being petty but I think we should have won both.
He's done nothing at club level to merit being given the England coach job. He should leave after this year's Euros and learn club management.

Leeds for me. Better football. Old school ground and fans.

Nothing. International football leaves me cold especially under Southgate.

A few weeks ago when Arse and Scousers were points ahead of City, who had games in hand, that the 2/1 odds for City winning the league from that position were ridiculously generous odds.
They are the best and they know how to win titles. When Arseholes and scousers were wobbling, City have been on a long winning run. They deserve to win it.

Big John is 80 today! My first City hero and all round first class bloke. Been lucky enough to have known him and his family since he came to the club in 1967 and so glad his service to the club was recognised at the Rotherham game.
I know that he loved his time at City and living in Bristol and made many good friends down here.

I think he's said in the past that he's turned down jobs in Europe before and would like to try it. Wouldn't surprise me if he went to Germany or Holland.
Man United will be looking for a manager soon though

They might be but you do realise how big the jump is from National League South to the Championship?

I think the biggest disappointment for me was we went into the season with an air of optimism. And then it's just turned out to be meh with a lot of bumps and some highs along the way.
Definitely the 'mehest ' season for a while

From Nige's sacking, the lies and ramblings of the owner and Binman, the turgid displays and pathetic performances against relegation threatened sides, Twines unimpressive loan contrasting with the highs of beating Southampton and Leicester it's been a roller coaster ride of a season.
I know a lot of us have been around the block with City (watching them tumble to the lowest position in the 4th division from the 1st was interesting) I can honestly say that this season has been one of the most underwhelming for me as a City fan.
I've said in another thread that not even signing Mbappe could excite me for next season. I feel sorry in a way for Manning. He can't win unless we get to the play offs as he'll always be the manager I didn't want.
Good riddance to 23/24 season

11th place finish. Not great, but if we can finish in the top half after an embarrassing shambles of a season then think what we could do if we were bang average…
Or what we could have done if we'd kept Pearson and backed him in January?

Just desserts for the arrogance of a meddlesome board/owner that knows nothing about football.
And Birmingham too.......

Billy Sharp coming on for Hull.
You just know it.........

For me, it's completely appropriate that this embarrassing shambles of a season should finish with an embarrassing shambles of a scoreline against another relegation threatened side.
I don't think that even the preseason signing of Mbappe would make me feel any expectations of hope for next season at the moment.

I'm sure I'm just a grumpy old ******, but this relatively recent trend of bringing family members onto the pitch- normally kids- irks me.
I have zero interest in seeing a footballers family celebrating with them on the pitch. If they want to join in the celebrations, they should climb the barrier and run on like the rest of us.
Totally agree. Didn't Dennis Wise start it at an FA Cup Final?

Fingers crossed that Birmingham go down and West Brom miss out on the play offs. Not fond of either clubs.

Reminds me of the time a couple of seasons ago, myself and a mate got the last train back from football to Weston after finishing in the 3 Lions
Thought it was a good idea to go to a late closing bar in Weston, which led onto a lock in at a certain bar near the sea front, which led to a staff party in a club.
Walking out in daylight realising I had less than an hour to get home and changed for the train to work wasn't fun
Luckily having my own office meant I could close the door and doze through the day still off my trolley

I have Sky on Nowtv for about £20 a month. Every time I get close to the end of my contract they make an offer. For me it's worth it in the summer because of the golf and cricket. Shop around. There are deals to be had

In football process generally means building a squad with the right type of player to fit into the managers style of play. Clearly if the academy plays using the same style then it easier for the graduate to make the step up.
A process means the same in any industry - simply baking a cake is a process.
And then selling the cakes to Bournemouth?
