  1. Not just this game but the next 5. The 2 Welsh clubs at home, Ipswich and West Brom away and then Leicester on Good Friday. All loseable with our current form. We need at least 1 win and a draw in the games v Cardiff and Swansea as I can't see much change in the other 3.

Lose 4 of these games and we could be significantly closer to the drop zone

  2. Maverick. God I'd love to be known as a maverick.

George Best was my first hero. Got taken to Old Trafford in 69 to watch him play.

Gazza was brilliant and similarly flawed. The game is poorer without these players.

    Stan was a diamond

SOD like many managers, who we’ve had over the last few decades, have mostly all been managers who’ve been successful prior to coming here and most fans have been wanting to be here. All have pretty much failed. Why?

I’m thinking pretty much all after Joe Jordan bar Gary Johnson have failed pretty much

To be fair S'od wasn't given a great deal of time. I think he may have had personal issues and a bit of a meltdown while here and needed some time away. The work he did at Bournemouth and Doncaster was impressive and he's highly regarded in the game. Wrong club, wrong time

  4. One of the players I admired growing up. Magical, mercurial and never out of the bookies. I loved players liked Stan.

Tony Currie, Duncan Mackenzie, Alan Hudson. And later Glenn Hoddle.

A character an entertainer and a bloody good footballer.

As Lizz Truss said after becoming Prime Minister...you can be sacked as Prime Minister, but not if you are head honcho at the Bank of England.

It applies with us...regardless of who's running the ship, its those who are unaccountable and make the decisions that can't be sacked.

Manning is way out of his depth imo, and by the week comes across more and more like LJ in his decision making.

Many will be thinking the same but will sit on the fence so as not to be wrong.

I was just about to say that it's Junior Johnson all over again. Young manager who does ok at a lower league team but completely out of his depth. Pearson was the best thing to happen at this club since Cotts. Both been there and done it and both strong men. The Lansdowns can't cope with real men

  6. The only way that Manning will get sacked is if people stop going or renewing season tickets. Lansdown doesn't care if we're a mid table side going nowhere as long as 20k plus keep turning up every home game. Be a bit different if only 12 or 14k was our average gate. It's all about the money. He cares **** all about the football

Whilst I respect your reply RR...I think it's pretty obvious how he wishes to play.

He spoken about his methods and it's obvious to the eye.

It's actually easier to pick out than when under NP.

I can now watch games, and it's so structured that I can call pretty much where each player is going to move after each passage of play.

As others do and have pointed out.

It is that drilled and structured.

And therein lies a problem Spud. If we as fans can see it an opposition manager or coach will pick a team or tactic to overcome it. And as of yet, as witnessed v QPR, we have no Plan B

  8. This beautiful game. This seductive mistress that draws us in, kicks us in the teeth (Preston) and then flirts with us again like this evening. I've watched City for 48 years and fallen out of love with them so many times but once again, after this evening's result I'm giddy as a lovestruck teenager.

I really want Liam to succeed. I was a big Nige fan through and through and was angry and gutted when he was sacked but we HAVE to get behind the team now.  The team have proved that they can play for Liam with the performances at Watford, and over 2 games versus West Ham.

This squad needs quality additions and I hope that the Lansdowns start spending money as the potential is there for all to see.
