  1. This beautiful game. This seductive mistress that draws us in, kicks us in the teeth (Preston) and then flirts with us again like this evening. I've watched City for 48 years and fallen out of love with them so many times but once again, after this evening's result I'm giddy as a lovestruck teenager.

I really want Liam to succeed. I was a big Nige fan through and through and was angry and gutted when he was sacked but we HAVE to get behind the team now.  The team have proved that they can play for Liam with the performances at Watford, and over 2 games versus West Ham.

This squad needs quality additions and I hope that the Lansdowns start spending money as the potential is there for all to see.

A memorable day indeed, yet it was Robbie ‘Carnage’ Turner who did for them, Super Bob didn’t trouble the scorers that day.

Mark Gavin was superb that day

    Complete tosh

In your weekly anti Pearson agenda , stretching back years you appear to have missed what I believe to actually be the turning point , and a red warning light

That was when Jon ‘completely unqualified’ Lansdown made public comments a year or so earlier that we should be doing better than we were

That was whilst Pearson was still in the latter stages of doing surgery on the mess he inherited.

His comments typified his complete lack of football knowledge and understanding , and an early alert that in no way did he or Daddy actually have any appreciation for the job Pearson had done to date.

I would guess , and there were indications that, that  p****d Pearson off and understandably I would think Pearson’s view of JL in particular was going to be difficult from that point on.

Any friction or breakdown in relationship lies at the Lansdowns door , particularly at Junior , later helped and fuelled I’d suggest by our Football Expert

Spot on. The other thing that I can't understand was the statement that he wants us to 'play front foot football, have an identity and should challenge for promotion '. You can guarantee if they get good offers for Conway, Bell, Vyner etc they will be gone because for the Lansdowns, it's all about money.

Couldn’t agree less with respect. The two at the top HAVE to take responsibility and if they don’t then fans sitting back and doing **** all will have one ending.

For me, this is nothing to do with Manning UNTIL he is given the tools. If he doesn’t perform then he has to be accountable at that point.

Totally agree. I have a lot of respect for robbored but I struggle to support a manager I don't want and owners who have made unexplainable decisions and then fed us bull about why they made their decisions.

The club lost me after Pearson was sacked. It was the last straw for me after years of poor decisions. SL may be a businessman but he's not a football man and continues to make decisions that prove this

  5. For me, acceptance = Meh!

Couldn't give a toss anymore. Watched Final Score yesterday and chuckled to myself when we went one down.

Started losing faith after Cotts went. Chucked my season ticket in after one year of Junior.

This isn't the club I started watching in 1966 and I'm aware that times change but I just can't be bothered to pay good money to be disappointed in performances and angry at owners decisions.

That said, we'll probably beat the Hammers Tuesday and the world will seem a better place .

Toughest mob I have seen in all my years of going to the gate , they all seemed proper big blokes ,

arrived on a Friday night once and paid a visit to the wheatsheaf ( think that was the name ) by Bridwell police station wasn’t there myself but heard from a few good friends it got proper naughty .

I remember a hole appearing in the East End crowd at a home game versus West Ham back in the old first division. In the middle was a West Ham fan. Giant of a black man with a white boiler suit and what looked like a machete in his hand. God knows how he got it in. Half a dozen old bill had to take him down. Scary

    Thought Cormack got them both?

Someone else on here will remember.

Remember the game up there Keith Fear scored & we won on a day when I don’t think there were many (any?) other top flight games.

That was the main game on MOTD that night when they only showed 2 or 3 games
