re Conways penalty shout, I got in the ground a bit late so grabbed a seat in the Lower Lansdown, directly in line with the 18 yard line. My first impression was that Conway went down a bit too easy. Not saying it wasn't a pen but can see why it wasn't given.
I was back in the SS second half so didnt see their pen.
Outrageous. Wasnt your ticket checked like the Gestapo check ours in Dolman E33?!

Went into the club shop today & seen the new kit on sale. Oh dear - it’s just so naff & cheap looking. £50 for a shirt - I genuinely wouldn’t buy it at a tenner.
I get that the Hummel uk distributor has gone under but this O’Neill kit is tragic.
Commercially we are a million miles off it under Jon Lansdown.
They may have but Coventry signed up to a fuether 3 years with them so it must be sorted. What a cluster#### weve shifted to!

Does that mean he's now suspended? He was 1 booking away from a suspension pre Man City wasn't he? (apologies if already clarified elsewhere)
Nope. The date for that has passed ( 38 games i believe ) so he cant be suspended now for yellows.

Just seen the Sky highlights. Never a pen IMO and for all the fuss around HC`s miss I`ve nothing said on here about his brilliant lay off to TC who shot straight at the keeper in the second half.
A decent layoff. But a miss literally every one of us wouldve scored! He had more chance of scoring than missing from there. Lets hope a decent summer of fitness for him sees him come back differently to what weve seen so far!

Aside of sh1t officials, have we discussed Cornick’s miss yet?!

Made a Rod for his own back by not giving a penalty and sending off Humphreys with second yellow. What happens afterwards is irrelevant.
So often clubs get punished for ‘failing to control their players’. Well, if the refs didnt cause and stir up so much sh1t then it wouldnt happen in the first place!

I guess refereeing is impossible when you are as clueless as that joker today!

But you do get the difference between a miss and a brilliant goal?
Yes. In many ways the miss was brilliant.

Okay, maybe you are right but that miss has become one of the biggest if not the biggest horse chestnut trotted out by some City fans who seem to be not very bright about football. There are many, many very talented footballers who have missed even easier sitters than that one.
Has Lee's miss been truly massively significant in the history of our Club? Some seem to think so because they keep on repeatedly telling us about it.
I say again did you see Miller's brilliant headed goal from a corner at Grimsby Town that meant we had won 10 on the trot and went top of the League. I'd say that was something about a hundred times more worth remembering.
But actually i cant remember it so i guess for me the Swindle one sticks in my mind. Not sure ive ever celebrated a goal so early as i did that one, for it not to actually be a goal!

He really is an absolutely clueless moron, re Derby and Wed...
“As soon as they get to the Championship, they’re coming back down because it’s not good enough. Or they’re going to have to rip it up. You can’t bully people in the Champ. They’re only successful because they’ve stockpiled better players.”
Isnt getting lots of better players the right idea?!

Not this again please my friend. My not try to celebrate the brilliant header he scored at Grimsby Town when we went top after winning 10 on the trot??
Because we all couldve scored the one at Swindle even if we were bolloxed on several ciders!

Yes,it's time to go ..
But the law of sod says wherever he next plays he will be everpresent
As he basically has been for us before the last year.
Bung him £5 a week and see how we go. -

Is it just me who can't see the price?
Should be a cool £22. Or off to TK Max to buy, ironically, something more classy.

Barton - ‘the lino has guessed, as they do at this level’.
‘when i saw the ref i knew we were in for it’.
My god this bloke simply cannot take a defeat. I swear he blames officials after every loss!!

Estupinan at Hull.
Defence has improved massively over the course of the season, both in open play and set-pieces.
See my post above re wage bill correlation. It’s a factor in amongst lots of other factors, wage bill is not “all-defining”.
Blimey he chose that shitehole instead of us!

I'm in two minds about Kalas even IF he were offered a contract at 50% cut and would accept.
He is very good defender on the ground and getting blocks in, but is pretty weak in the air. A lot of the poor goals we concede are due to the lack of a CB who is really good in the air.
Finding a 'Flint' type is what we need to consolidate defence and offer more threat at our corners & free kicks that are going to be crossed in.
Not good in the air?! Hes the most dominant defensive winner of headers we have!
Reduced terms if possible and it has to be a new contract for him imo.

You mean the one where the call could be heard from the other end of the pitch and Kalas? Ignored him to head it? Hmm.
Nope that wasnt WBA.

Max has made three mistakes this season which have cost us. Early on, after replacing Bents, he come charging off his line and missed a punch when we were already losing.
He let a shot in against Preston when we were 2-0 up. We won 2-1.
And today he let a shot in when we were already losing.
None of his mistakes have directly cost us points.
He recently signed a long term contract, so the club clearly believes in him
Do we need another championship standard keeper to challenge Max. Absolutely.
Should we throw him under the bus because of today? I think not.
How about charging off his line v WBA at home. 2nd goal his fault, based on another error where he didnt come out as he shouldve for their first.
Hes a number 2 and Nige will certainly see that as hes had the luxury of starts since Jan due to our GK situation. I dont feel he’ll get the luxury of Nige giving him No 1 shirt time next season. -

I agree that Bentley had different mistakes but I genuinely think that Over the course of a season we’d be 6-8 points better off with Bents rather than Max.
This.
I dont feel like Max earns us points whereas Bentley most definitely did.
New GK required please to be No 1 next season. Max can warm his academy backside on the bench.
Dont get me wrong, we all like academy grad’s to make the first team, BUT, they must be good enough. Im afraid Max isnt.- 1
