  1. Agree to disagree ? Looking forward to having Conway fit tbh.
  2. I have to agree. He hasn't looked up to it so far this season. I'm wondering if this is one season too far at this level for him.
  3. Gotta be honest I thought we were really good and Plymouth were really crap! Good pod, as always chaps.
  4. My discounted shirt arrived today from China. Unfortunately due to strange OTIB file size limits I can only show you the upper left portion. Suffice it to say, for a discounted shirt the quality isn’t bad. From a distance I think it would be quite tricky to tell this from a full price shirt. The real give away is the fabric badge, but otherwise it is pretty convincing.
  5. This is bizarre, Sundays are usually dead on here. This could get spicy!
  6. Yep, I have to admit I’m struggling to see Phil Alexander anywhere at AG. He must be gone.
  7. Good save, required a lot of skill and a slice of luck and sadly for us their keeper got it. Cornick was unfortunate not to score.
  8. It could be a progression of a longer term issue that now requires surgical intervention.
  9. It’s a bit meh for me, but then I’ve never really been a fan of black/grey away kits. That being said, it’s the most ‘wearable’ of our kits this season in a non football environment e.g. casual wear.
  10. I think we have to agree to disagree on this, NO replica football kit or sportswear realistically justifies a £50 price tag regardless of quality, but sadly that’s the age we live in.
  11. Could it be that the club/club’s media team produced the teaser, rather than their O’Neills counterparts?
  12. Their seemed to be a poster on here who was somewhat ITK r.e. Sales of the O’Neills stuff and implied it had done fairly well. I’d be interested to see how it compares against the Hummel stuff. I have no stats to back this up, but purely on observation from walking around Bristol a lot I have seen more of the striped home shirt from this season than I did of the most recent Hummel shirts. But that could also be that pinstripes are just a favourable design as I recall the kit from the Man U/Man C season also being a popular one tbf. I have to say I get quite bemused by the extent of brand snobbery in this thread when it comes to what is literally a replica of a piece of sportswear. It’s not like we are talking about high Parisian fashion here.
  13. Seems peculiar to include it in the crappy teaser video doesn’t it ? 3 different badges for 3 different kits this season? Surely not…
  14. Ah the “I don’t want it, if it’s not from JD sports” mentality, got ya.
  15. Couple things spring to mind: 1) The kids seem to like it (granted kids are generally idiots, but that’s encouraging still) 2) Even if some fans think our kit is crap, I’d much rather see people wandering Bristol around in a crap city kit than a “good” Manure/L’pool/‘City, kit etc etc
  16. Just thinking out loud, If we were to somehow gain promotion this season, MOL would not be #1 in the prem I feel. It would be one of the first upgrades we could make with the promotion payday £££. I don’t think I’ve seen enough footy yet this season to comment on other teams’ GK’s but my feeling is that those who will be “there or there abouts” come the business end of the season will have at least one prem-capable stopper. I’m just not sure Max is at that level, imo.
  17. What about the influx of fake shirts from China? I wonder if the club has a handle on this? I don’t know whether these fakes were so widespread under Bristol Sport, and then Hummel. But it seems now that they’re being increasingly worn around AG due to the price difference (£15 vs £50?) I have to admit I’ve struggled to differentiate the fakes, the only clues have been the badge looks a bit off, and in certain lighting the red is a different shade.
  18. Yeah not a fan. Think I was in the minority also who thought the Hummel “Robin” kit was garbage too.
  19. I’ve listened to the interview between RH and PA. My thoughts are: 1. There were some aspects of Mark Ashton-ism with his deflection of answering the actual question, and steering the discussion in the direction he was comfortable with it going. 2. Hoskins let him off far too easy with certain lines of questioning. 3. The response to NP’s future - not sure what to make of this. Doesn’t fill me with confidence, but equally doesn’t scream “Nige out” either. Bit of a weird one. 4. The comment about how cutting budgets doesn’t equate to cutting ambition - calling BS on that. If you sell a Rolls Royce, and then go on to buy a Vauxhall Astra, you’ve hardly matched like for like. This is analogous to our transfer dealings in the recent window imo. Despite our recruitment strategy of generally younger players, with either potential to improve or sell on for profit, it’s patently obvious that this squad is crying out for an injection of proven quality - especially up front. Final thoughts - neutral. Some things irked me, others were understandable. Time will tell whether the club really does have the ambition to reach the Premier League.
  20. I agree FWIW. Solid without being remarkable.
