Admin phantom Posted November 25, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted November 25, 2011 Phew and there was me thinking I was going to be the only one clapping and chearing on an ex Rovers player ! To be honest in the past when an ex sag has played against us it generally gets the crowd going more which in turn will spur our boys onto victory tomorrow ! Riaz
It also pumps certain players up to play better. Do you want Ashton Gate to be intimidating for kids and make them not want to come back? Or you could sing about our own players and give them a lift? Just don't see the word of the C word, its just disgusting and any other word would be better! Football should be a family game, not something ugly. Well, I loved it when I was a kid! mind you, I was'nt wrapped in cotton wool and told how perfect the world was....
CiderHider
The club should introduce swear buckets. The stewards could stalk around the stands collecting a pound for a f##k and a fiver for a c##t. After the Soton game we could afford Messi. Forget Messi, Who's this c##t for a fiver you speak of? Admin phantom Posted November 25, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted November 25, 2011 Football used to be the working mans sport, working men and women would hear and repeat language in their daily lives ! Living in a bubble if people think the modern generation dont swear ! Of course there are different levels of bad language used. Yes when I was a kid I would be forced to wash my mouth with soap and water, but dont expecy many kids growing up nowadays would have to do that ! In all walks of live nowadays you hear men, women and children swear its just the culture we live in now, add the passion of the football and there is your answer. . . I swear at football matches? anything else? oh and I never said football isnt for kids and women - just they should adapt. Instead of changing everything to suit them. Football is attended by mainly adult men. Things should'nt be changed to accomadate the minority - even though thats the done thing in this country

Its also lacks respect. Though I teach em its okay for adults to swear at football - becauses its acceptable at a football match. But its not acceptable anywhere else. What do you teach your kids? if you have kids?

What is it with "the C word"? you sound like a woman! Personally I have always prefered the term "gash" far more descriptive! Anyway, Lambert is a gashead C***, so therefore it is not for "no reason". I doubt Riaz just stands there aimlessly shouting C*** in general for no reason! NOTR
I go to football to let off steam, yes I swear, perhaps its my working class back ground, oooh thats right i'm working class how shameful. If people don't like swearing then don't go to the footie, the middle class holier than thou brigade can do one.Oh and I will be giving fatty(although he is about 2 stone lighter now)plenty of stick. Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
Because I accept the reality that they will swear, AS ALL KIDS DO. Spot on! I dont like to think that my kids swear at school or amongst their friends but I can guarentee that they do, especially if they are anything like me and every other kid I knew at their age. I knew pretty much every swear word and insult possible from school long before my dad took me to my first City match (apart from maybe sheepsh*gger, which was a new one for me). Its life, kids swear, parents like to think their kids dont swear...but they do.
