Dorset_Cider
Okay...... one game............ but I and some others have known what Brett can do........... Well done BCFC & Brett Pitman Now all of you just shut up!
Red_Jim
Must play in the next game. Superb, and two fingers up to the doubters. Get in brett.
bs3
He is the best striker at the club . Always thought he was better than Maynard always gave more for the team and got a knack of scoring goals . Just like to see him up front with Stead. Dont understand why Del have not played pitman. ralphindevon
He certainly isn't Usain Bolt but what some people don't seem to realise is we don't need Usain Bolt. We need a player who can produce a bit of class and from what I've seen Brett Pitman has more than most in that squad.

mookey
Mcinnes is an idiot if he cant see that Pitman is our only natural goal scorer. We dont need more forwards we just need a goal scorer, which we have and to play two, yes McinnesTWO, forwards Lets hope this has sunk in, I know Pittman isnt Scottish, but please give him a break! Super
No one getting carried away then? first goals since November the 5th But its okay he is going to save us? Lets see if he can continue this as said else where rather than being a one/two off like the one he had at the end of september Silly to say such a grounding thing, maybe. but its a home draw, not a home win and afaik the performance wasnt all that either bar two goals.. Oh bore off

Taylor10
I still maintain he shouldn't play up top alone. Never thought I would say this but we have to go 4-4-2 on Saturday now with Brett and wood up top. Wood looked awful up top on his own but as soon as he had Brett buzzing around him he looked a lot lot better and we looked a lot more dangerous! Peterborough playing open attacking football with their attitude of trying to out score you. We just need to go there and attack from the off! Murraysrightplum
Should be given a run of games as a deep lying striker behind a bigger man

Have you followed Brett when he played at B'mth? (I don't think you have) class player, knows where the goal is...... I think the move to us has not been the dream it should have been for Brett and that is our fault......... any comment? Getting carried away.......... no not really..... stated 'one game' but that said

Brizzle Jordan
There is no doubt at Bournemouth he was the best striker in the lower leagues. Scored all sorts of goals but could someone tell me what formation they played and what wingers they had? I would be interested to find out. Brizzle Jordan
Could our midfield get away with playing 4-4-1-1? James Foster McManus Fontaine McGivern JCR Elliot Cisse Bolasie Adomah Pitman That wouldn't be too bad.

Alex_BCFC
He is one of about only 3 players we have who can score. I've changed my mind- we must go 4 4 2 saturday.
Dorset_Cider
I think we all expected a post on this... I have doubts about his ability to play on his own up front, but with another striker he can do the job. 2 goals are real , and as such he has played himself into the team. No matter what anyone thinks about his strengths and or weaknesses, strikers live for goals , he scored 2. Lets hope the rest of the team can cope with 2 up front. Expected post....... fair point...... but Brett needs the team built around him........ tonight he proved that even if it is not he can deliver....... it's our weakness not his, Brett can score goals at this level as he also could at league one....... I believe it is not Brett we as a club have to build around him.... he can and will deliver......... as many B'mth fans have often stated to me, and for my part following him pre BCFC, they made the point he was a good signing for us( I still believe he is)
grifty
Is that it? Is that all you have as a countenance. 'Bore Off' for deigning to express a view, that isnt immediately eulogising the next messiah, despite acknowledging the comeback in other threads. I see, silly me for not getting caught up in the reams of hype now being justfied after one good game by one player in however long and refusing to paper over the cracks If it floats your boat to some how have 'one up' or whatever on some one who holds a different view then fine, just try harder to come up with a bore off 'idiom' because as a repost its really dull and uninspiring? To be fair he has just scored 2 goals in 20 minutes. We hadn't scored in 3 and 3/4 of game before that!

Dorset_Cider
yeah I have, thanks for the being patronising, Have you paid any attention to what ive said regarding strikers being in form or are you just selectively reading for the one up? Obviously selective.... but hey that's the forum (sorry) Respect as always to other poster's

I feel Maynard was a big block for Brett at BCFC........ hope Brett proves me right now NM is gone .........and we stay up Next game no doubt Brett will play and get no goals but he should (now)...... has too now etc The big chance to prove your mousey worth Brett (Anamaniacs .... bcfcnick
Brett is the only one in the entire squad who could ever be a prolific goal-scorer. Prolific goal-scorers are like gold dust, we are lucky to have him and he must play. He might have a few anonymous games but that doesn't matter as all goal-scorers tend to have that trait and in some of those 'anonymous' games he'll make one contribution - a winning goal. That doesn't really do him justice as he is a good footballer and has never just been a tap-in fox in the box specialist. He's a 20 goal a season Championship striker and must be an automatic first choice.

Yes but its the way and time they came which will lift the team the club and supporters...another couple of hundred will go to the Posh on Saturday and really get behind the team...We need momentum and nothing starts the ball rolling like snatch a last gasp draw against a club that ******* Hates Us...
