wayne allisons tongues
It's getting beyond a joke, seriously got to start questioning refs and impartiality.
Brizzle Jordan
Referees are just simply guessing these days.

DantheCityman
Referee never saw it, just guessed. John Terry didn't celebrate and he was on the line! Goal line technology springs to mind
Esmond Million's Bung
i'm sorry but why can't Cech be sent off? even though the ref allowed play to go on it was a foul he was the last man, somebody explain.
Lew-T
I wonder if anyone has thought of the idea of goal-line technology. This should of been sorted years ago. It's happening more frequently where the officials have made shocking decisions if the ball has crossed the line or not. Look at Bolton this year! Brizzle Jordan
I hate Chelsea, their fans boo'd during the minutes silence and they've now scored when they shouldn't COME ON SPURS.

Because the ref played the advantage, however you cannot play advantage if it's a red so the ref should of perhaps blew the whistle.
Brizzle Jordan
I would love to see a team just walk off the pitch in disgust at the referee, they would obviously lose but it would make the FA think i'd of thought.

Hold on are you saying that if the ref allowed an advantage after say 2 footed studs up challenge, he couldn't then send the guy off after the advantage had gone?. Taylor10
Goal line technology doesn't even come into it. A referee at that level should not get a decision like that so badly wrong. He should not need goal line tech to help him get that right from the position he was in! Was just a complete guess! Terrible!

If there is a 2 footed challenge he cannot play advantage and come back to send off a player, if there is a red card to given out it the game has to be stopped straight away and the player has to be sent off. You can only bring back play if it's a yellow i'm led to believe.

Cech didn't get sent off because he didn't prevent a goal scoring opportunity as Bale went onto score.

cityexile
Have to say never heard that one before. I always assumed that if the ref played advantage he could then go back to it, in terms of cards.

Well i've just had my answer from the commentators, just like technology the rules need looking at, a ref can apparently send off retrospectively for violent conduct but not deliberate, cynical professional fouls, ******* mental. cityexile
Actually, having heard it explained, does make some sense. Hardly seems right to send somebody off for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity, if the ref play on!
Super
Would spurs of rather had a pen and the keeper sent off?
Brizzle Jordan
Referee is a joke, Bale was offside, ball never crossed the line... what next? Referees are a joke.. The FA need to clear up offside rule etc as they are a joke to english football.
Brizzle Jordan
Would spurs of rather had a pen and the keeper sent off? The goal imo as I think if Chelsea had 10 men they would just be so hard to break down as they would try hang on.
