David Brent
http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~2877409,00.html I think no. 3 would've been free anyway - Cunningham has been 17 elsewhere. There we are at 40. ....the 40th man

Roe
Don't know about anyone else, but I find the concept of giving the fans a squad number cringeworthy. Especially when it's number 40 12 was fine because it made sense with being the 12th man etc but just giving a random squad number miles down the list is completely pointless. Mendip City
Don't know about anyone else, but I find the concept of giving the fans a squad number cringeworthy. +1 (or should that be +40) I also think leaving 13 spare is rubbish - superstitious nonsense. I seem to remember Yohan Cryuff wearing 13 for Holland. He did ok.
Bar BS3
Of course giving the fans a shirt number is a load of nonsense, but you know that if they didn't make the gesture then there would be some who would be up in arms about it on here! Robbored
Don't know about anyone else, but I find the concept of giving the fans a squad number cringeworthy. Yeah. Its completely meaningless as far as I'm concerned. Whats the theory behind the idea?

LocoPal
I would have preferred neither keeper given the no 1 shirt this season. With Heaton (92 league appearances) and Gerkin (166 league appearances), two keepers in my view, quite similar in ability should have to fight for first team selection and for the No.1 shirt for next season, with no favouritism, no quirky appearance guarantees and a fair team selection policy based on good form and not necessarily game results. I would hope Nigel Spink is a good man to judge this!

Taylor10
Why? I just like the fact he has been given a good number! I rate Yannick, if Del can get the best out of him then we really could have a player on our hands!
LocoPal
Why? Derek strikes me as the kind of manager that doesn't care too much about squad numbers. His formations on paper use names alone, not numbers. That leaves a lot of fun for Scott and the boys to play around with his old shirt number, but good news is Yala gets it and Marv gets his 25 back. He was quite good in that one remember, to say the least!
One Team In Keynsham
Domestic squad numbers: just one more thing on the "aspects of modern football that I hate and/or wind me up, however insignificant they might be" list.
