I wish you could have heard Heaton today.

He screamed out at all the players all day

When they made a mistake he went mental.

His favourite saying was "USE ME" a quote to pass it back

Class keeper and although Gerken is sound he is nowhere near in the class of this lad

I must admit Heaton looks positive and very assured, like gerken and he saved our asses more than once at the tail end of last season but heaton gets the nod from me on what ive seen so far. Good to hear Bolasie played well today, he was OK against Southampton, better opposition than today of course but he did lose the ball too often on tuesday night - glad he had a better performance today.

Agreed

But this was against a lower league club

In the championship he will struggle I'm sad to say

We need a pact striker then we really can look at having a good season

Disagree.

First season he scored 13 in 21 starts

Last season he scored 7 in 12 starts

Excluding sub apps mind but really that's quite good.

We do need a pacey striker though

Nice with another win. Its only pre season game but a win is a win. DM have many options how the team is gonna be vs Forest, but I think he alredy knows who the starting 11 will be next saturday. Acording to DM is Wilson an classplayer, think we will sign him. Maybe the other Wilso will be playing cb with Fonts. The team have been better and better. In Marbella they were working very hard one of the player said. Think we are fit and well prepared for this season. So far DM have got it allright. On tuesday I think we beat Gillingham. COYR.

Thought we played well again today. As earlier posters have said Yannick played really well and on that performance I could see him playing up front a bit this season. Certainly if we don't manage to sign another forward!

Pitman wan't at his best, but he got the goal and his pass for Albert's goal was brilliant.

The defence looked extremely solid and Nyatanga in particular was impressive. I'm not 100% sure of the situation regarding Mark Wilson, but I would be pleased if we signed him.

All in all a very promising performance again from City, we looked good without the balll and Albert, Yannick and Pitman (although not brilliant) were a constant threat when we did have the ball.

Problem is most of his best performances have come when he's been a sub, as a starter he rarely impresses, if he fails to impress against Bournemouth reseveres then it's a problem

Having just him, Stead and young Ryan Taylor isn't enough at this level, possibly why Albert has been given a go up front at times

We must keep Pitman. Yes, he can frustrate at times (most players do over a season) but he definitely knows how to find the back of the net.

His pre-season form and link-ups with Adomah, Stead and Bolaisie has shown promise and stirred optimism.

Another forward to compliment this along with free-kick specialist midfielder and commanding centre-half, and we have a play-off team in the making.
