Anybody else remember the 2006/07 season when they were making a big song and dance about enlisting dedicated gasheads to show up before matches to help make the Mem pitch playable and avoid cancellations. Suddenly they were up against Stockport County who were on an epic winning run, looking unbeatable. City were away up north against Blackpool and the second leg of the LDV area final was due to be played the following Tuesday with the agg. score at 0-0. The Gas ended up cancelling their match against Stockport giving them an extra few days rest. I'm not saying they deliberately relaxed their previous efforts to get all their winter fixtures played, but I wouldn't put it past them. So **** em!
