Rich-TWSC-
I'm sat in British Road (BS3) at the moment and if it stays like it is right now and that the ground staff have done their job then you'll have a game this afternoon. The rain that fell between 1430-1530 on Boxing Day was freak-like.
simonwheeler
For what its worth ABSOLUTELY DIIDLY on the official BCFC site, so dont know whether to take that as a positive or that no one has opened up at Ashton yet!!!!!

Redtucks
Heavy rain through the morning giving the risk of flooding, gradually clearing eastern areas by the start of the afternoon. Turning brighter and colder behind the rainband, with scattered showers following, heavy in places. Remaining windy throughout the day.
slartibartfast
Can't understand that there's NO pitch inspection planned, they must like us to make wasted trips !
You Do The Dziekanowski
Its stopped in thornbury. If there is a late pitch inspection would the club allow fans to help clear the water of the pitch because against watford there was only 4 groundsman and other areas of the pitch were becoming worse. madmax
Light rain in Ashton Vale. Just got back from Asdal and everywhere is flooded so I sincerely hope the pitch is OK. MM
Redtucks
BBC wrong again shocker! I always use Wunderground or Accuweather, very accurate, constantly updated satellite data, unlike the BBC with some bloke up the Cabot tower with fisherprice binoculars & a wet finger in the wind! Think I'd prefer a forecast from the bloke up Cabot Tower rather than the Accuweather bloke in their HQ in Pennsylvania!
Bristolian76
Still raining here on Ashton Road, but for the past hour or two it's been a lot lighter. Pub for 12 regardless
MC RISK77
just started to absolutely chuck it down in emersons green, and has got very dark in the last 10 mins...not sure if this is coming ashton way, but with covers seemingly due to come off around midday, this deluge is not looking pretty if it does hit the gate

BUTOR
If there's a cover on it can't matter about heavy rain surley? Unless we've pulled it out from the back of Del's garden shed please explain how this is a worry?

Mrdc
surely it dosn't matter unless the covers are on I guess that the rain will be sitting on the covers and then the surface water has to be moved somewhere when the covers are removed. Where I have no idea though.

Aizoon
Someone has said that the covers must be removed three hours before KO time. Is that true? Does anyone really know? Can someone from the club be ar$ed to answer?

simonwheeler
It appears the club are more concerned about the Community Park - Flooded out, so closed. Just a little quote about the games prospects might be appreciated City staff? Another example of the p poor communication that we are now privileged to these days.
