Met Joe Royle in a Bristol nightclub - very friendly guy.

Martin Peters - World Cup 1966 legend - paid a visit to our business, as him and Geoff Hurst were involved in something connected to motor insurance when they finished playing. He had to wait for my husband to arrive for the meeting, so I made him a cup of coffee. For some reason, I decided to play it cool, and never let on that I knew who he was!

Scott Murray - legend, and totally insane, even when sober. :D

Various :gasmask: who shall not be mentioned.

Russell Osman, Greg Goodridge, Ivan Testametanu (legend), went to school with Louis Carey and some Gas players (Andy Williams and some lesser known players)

Michael Owen, Damian Duff, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Robbie Savage, Dietmar Hammann (legend), loads of rugby players (played with and against some famous ones). Pretty much the whole of coronation street cast (including the alleged paedos), everyone from casualty, victoria wood errr probably some more that I have forgotton.

Oh yeah Daniel O'Donnell pissed up on his own in Tenerife!

Met David Noble in a bar in Manchester last year. Top, top bloke. Pissed out of his mind, but we must've chatted for 20 mins or so about City - he gave me one of his Marlboro Lights. I was worse for wear too to be fair. He had nothing but good things to say about the club, loved working under Gary Johnson but never really knew why he fell out of favour. Seemed disappointed not to still be with us. He actually wanted to see if my and my mates were going to an after party, was keen to tag along! He was playing for Rotherham at the time, not sure if he's still there?

Random, are you sure that wasn't a dream! Did you ask Pele about his erectile problems?

Was also ringside for Hatton v Mayweather, and got into the post fight press conference, met Sugar Shane Moseley, Bernard Hopkins, Floyd and Ricky and my personal boxing favourite the golden boy Oscar De La Hoya....boxing comes a very close 2nd to footy for me

Basso - Met him at the Zoo just after he left, didnt really want to chat much, I think he realised he had made a mistake

Super Scott - as above top bloke

Sir Steve L - Not a player but great to chat with, and very emotional about our club.

Leroy Lita is surprisingly sound. Met Gerken out on the piss who was a good laugh. Brian Wilson was a right cock had a bit of aggro with him outside panache a few years back.

I concur on Brian Wilson stayed in same hotel as him in ayianapa and he was a cock, the lads he was with were top notch though

Terry Cooper & Jo Jordan both happy to stop and chat at the ground when I happened to come across them on separate occasions.

Chris Garland most apologetic when he stood on my then G/F's (now the Mrs!) foot in Raquels a long time a go.

Paul Cheesley happy to chat at a Quo concert in the Colston Hall a few years ago.

Cole Skuse last year in Vassal's park quietly spoken but quite sociable, we were both out walking our dogs.

Louis Carey quite a few times, friend of a friend. Top bloke enjoys a laugh & has a great sense on humour. Still our best central defender IMO.

Doh, senior moment, how could I forget spending a few hours with Walshy in the outpatients hand clinic in Frenchay a few years ago. I'd cut a tendon, and his son had damaged his hand the night before playing for Bath City I think. We were the only ones in the waiting room, very easy guy to chat to, but wouldn't be drawn too much on things going on at the Gate at the time under GJ. Which is of course the correct professional way to behave. Anyway top man IMO.

Forgot about Sir Viv : sat at a table with him at a cricket dinner. Really nice guy, total gent, and still has that aura of greatness about him.

Saw Danny Wilson in a bar on his own the night before a season started with a Guinness when I was on a work night out, he was really friendly and signed a random book we'd just nicked from the Horn and Trumpet bookcase which at the time we thought would be funny.

Same era, used to see loads of the players out, Danny Coles & Steve Phillips were always ****ts when I saw them, Aaron Brown sometimes ok, other times arrogant as, John Burns was a nice fella, and Lee Peacock as has been mentioned always spoke, always pissed but always smiling and buying drinks! And obviously Scotty Murray has time for a chat (and a jaeger) with everyone.

Barry Hayles was up Whiteladies Road a few years ago and when we told some girls who we were with that he was a Prem footballer he denied it, being a bit of a nause really, then had the cheek when he left to try and say he was him and shake hands, my reply was 'no chance I'm shaking your hand, you're ex-g*s!'

Myself aside, my dad has always made me chuckle with a story that he saw the ex-Wolves player Derek Dougan out one night, and people were asking for his autograph, so my old man thought it was funny to go up and give him his autograph! He said the look of confusion on his face was hilarious!

Did you have a booger hanging?

Ha, possible I suppose.....wonder if he tells the story of the night he met Woodsy, who had a big dangling booger!

Outdone me there: I was at that fight, sat in the row behind the press tables, but was a few rows in front of Joe Calzaghe.

And didn't get a sniff of the press-conference.

Guessing you mean 9 Fine Irishmen? Or is that the hotel with the piano bar in the middle of the casino floor? Think I was in both, to be honest. All over MGM and New York New York it was like going out in Salford.

We met up in the Hooters straight after.

met most of the wilson era home grown players down town. you couldnt go anywhere without bumping into them. the only one who didnt drink was woodman and he would never talk. so shy it made you wonder how he ever managed as a pro.

brown was a bit of a stroker along with rosenior and fortune. amankwah was alright and was generally embarrased to be out with a bunch of idiots.

odejeyi always wanted to be centre of attention and you wouldnt want to argue with him. biggest teenager ive ever seen. he even looked about 30.

I was off my rocker in Syndicate a few years back, i was probably 18 or 19 and ran up to Amankwaah shouting 'Clayton!! Fortune!!' suffice to say he wasn't too happy, just gave me a strange look and moved on

I used to watch Woodman out on the pitch and wonder how he made it as a pro! I also remember watching him drive into the car park at one open day, about 2006, whilst all the other players came in in their BMW's and 4x4's, he came in driving a 10 year old Ford Escort!
