pongo88
I’m not sure if Robert Fleck counts as he was already on a downward slide by the time he reached city. He had a good goal scoring record for Norwich in the 80s / early 90s before being sold to Chelsea. After that it was downhill all the way (3 goals in 40 matches for Chelsea) before arriving at City on loan in 95. One goal in ten matches at City continued the downward trend. To be fair, he played well, just didn't hit the back of the net as expected. Scored 1 I think.
pongo88
Looking at it from the opposite perspective you’ve got to include John Galley. He was average for Rotherham before he signed for City, but he kept City in division 2, in the early days of the Alan Dicks era. His record of approx one goal in two matches over 5 years was pretty good. http://www.wolvesheroes.com/2009/11/18/galley-an-instant-success/
